I love my boys. But if they were like that, a gun is the last thing I would think about giving them.
The father needs to be charged as an accessory.

I wouldn't let 2 of my 3 children have my credit card when they were in college and as grown adults, I'd only allow 1 of the 3 to touch my firearms and then I would need to be present. I can't imagine handing the firearms back to a kid with his lengthy police contact in addition to the stunt at the White House.

Kid? I might call him a kid and yes, I wouldn't have given the guns back, but he's been an adult for some time now.

I have always believed there should be a cat above Murder 1, called heinous crimes, these crimes have only one ending if you are captured. You are HUNG by the neck till dead in the town square at high noon on Sat.

The message it would send would change a lot of things.

I asked my dad one time if he had ever seen a hanging and he told me he had when he was around 10. Then rode into town from the ranch on Friday for the hanging at noon. His dad took him to see it. Dad said is very traumatic watching the guy dangle and twist till he was dead. Then I asked dad what he thought about it? He said he knew that a life of crime was not his to follow...

Quite the thing to see when you are 10. Bet seeing that would set most people straight. About what year would that have been in?

Now the interesting part, Tennessee recently enacted a state law that places liability squarely on the business if said business chooses to placard as a gun free zone. OK, I'm no lawyer and I didn't sleep in a Holiday Inn Express last night but if one of the killed or injured was a legal CC, then Waffle House inc. may have a new owner...

I don't see where this bill was signed into law.

Even if it was, WH has insurance. The business won't be changing hands to one of the victims.

According to Wiki it would have to be pre August 1923.

Upon statehood, hanging would be the method used for almost all executions until 1924. Hangings were administered by the county where the trial took place. The last hanging in the state was that of Nathan Lee, a man convicted of murder and executed in Angleton, Brazoria County, Texas on August 31, 1923.

There was a Waffle House around here but it closed down. You'd be lucky to see a couple cars out front. I got the notion it was employees parking out front to make the place look like it had customers. Now it's a donut place. I've never been to a Waffle House. I've cut through their parking lot before....but never cared for waffles.

The last public hanging was done in Waco. Pretty sure.

I've said this a few times. People don't have a fear of consequences. Some murderers get off with what amounts to a slap on the wrist. Look at the affluent car killer kid. Bring back public executions and let people know what the risk is to doing heinous crimes.

Nobody goes to Waffle House for waffles... Their hashbrowns are where it's at. I also really like the patty melts.

They are pretty popular across the south; not sure why you don't see many in Texas. We don't really have an equivalent here.

I think the last time I went to a Waffle House was around 2011. The place was a mess, the service sucked and the food was so-so.

Tons of them around DFW. I like the pecan waffles and the hash scramble.

You don't go for the service. It good food though, especially late night or early morning.
