    prepare your wallets.

Looks like AJ is bouncing some <all> the rebates from Academy due to use of the coupon code and academy telling them sorry no money for you AJ a discount was applied.

Might want to check your account and see the 0.00 rebate from AJ

I believe SQL received his and I've read others who received theirs as they were surprised the AJ discount was vased off the price before discount, but as I just messaged SQL, I haven't seen any movement on my Aimpoint and am expecting that it may be canceled.

on the site that will not be named :) that has to do with scary black guns. Has multiple accounts of AJ changing your Academy rebate when you used the 20% code also to 0.00.

I hope you all fly under the radar and get your 5%

If charge is not what's on my original invoice + AJ discount, I'll just return it. I guess for the Arfcom guys that aren't local to an Academy it sucks, but for most of us here I don't think that would be an issue.

You think they are going to take back that firearm some guys got good luck with that if its been transfered.

I would say you will have issues returning ammo also but I have never tried ammo disappears to fast for me to return anything other than empty brass.I guess the ammo if you had it shipped to store might be refundable. But with free shipping who would do instore pickup.

Well, firearms are all in store pickup and transfers don't happen automatically, so right there is one's chance to refuse a firearm.

Ammo is a bit trickier, but if it's Academy brand it can be returned and if not you cannot.
Their prices even before the discount weren't all that crazy and most folks I know rarely regret buying ammo, whether they shoot it right away or squirrel it away for our next Democratic President and Congress in 2020.

Also, there is no in store pick up for ammo.

Me personally, I ordered an optic, IF it even ships, I will have no issue returning my order to my nearest Academy if the price isn't what I expected.

I’ve never owned a CETME, but I have shot a couple. One would jam 2 or 3 times per magazine. The other shot fine but the receiver was so thin it flexed. I decided CETME wasn’t for me.

AJ took their money back. Bummer because that was almost $20. Oh well, it was still a good deal.

Son of a bitch!!! Did they take the $10 you got to sign up though did they?
I've still have yet to see any movement on my order. It's still pending on my CC so I'm just taking that as a sign that my order is dead.

Idk why the require someone to be here and a signature. Glad I was home today

    Pro tip...

UPS and Fed Ex will hold a package at a retail location for free when requested. Some Vendors will not allow it, but most do. if thats the case you can ask the vendor to do it

I do it quite often. You just need to call them up once it's in transit. The one exception is with ammo. Some retail location won' hold it, even though there is nothing barring them from doing so, but in that case you can have it held at the actual station it delivers from.
Fed Ex now holds packages at Walgreen locations as well, UPS may have something like that, I'm just not sure at the moment.

Also, If by chance a package that requires a signature is attempted when you are not home, you can request to have that held as well.

I actually had my mags held this go round after seeing they used ground service and used my PO Box as the address. Pretty common with a few vendors, but not a big deal.

ETA- If a vendor has instruction to not divert, you can generally call them and they can set up the hold for you .

Good to know. I think the nearest fedex or walgreens is way too far away. Gives me an excuse to "work from home" aka clean guns while I stare at a computer
