    Nah, those headers will go in super easily. With a tubular K you probably won't even have to drop the starter. Even on jack stands you wouldn't have a problem. That's a lazy afternoon job ;)

    Plugs are super easy on a 4th Gen with headers, especially if you have a 1" extension and a swivel head ratchet.

    Washed, windows tinted, and some blacking out done (wheels and some badges but not done yet).

    I also wired in my GPS and satellite radio to the upfitter switches to get rid of all the cigarette lighter plugs.

    Hooking up the trailer later to leave town tomorrow.

    Put my wife' car into the shop to take care of a couple service recalls and to check out a clicking in the steering column. Turns out the steering column needs a new plastic bushing that literally costs $1.00 thru the parts department and $500 to install. Here' the kicker, if the problem had shown up 15,000 miles ago it too would have been subject to a recall.

    The cars airbag light came on after the battery went dead causing a low voltage error code which disabled the steering wheel airbag. The service department charges $120 to diagnose and clear the code.

    It' a shame that modern vehicles are limited as to what the average gearhead can do and then gouge you to accomplish the jobs you cannot.

    Depending on the vehicle, you may be able to buy a handheld scanner for around $50 and cuteness the airbag system back on yourself. Not all vehicles and not all scanners have the SRS or Antilock Brake systems available.

    Sounds likely Ford. It has more then one error code. One for the low battery and another for the airbag. Reset the car. Disconnect the battery. Leave it disconnected for a few minutes. Do not unplug anything else. Just the battery. After about 5 minutes, hook the battery back up. The car will perform a new self-diagnostic. Observe any new or the same codes logged. Airbag parts ain't cheap and there's a few expensive ones under the steering wheel. Like the 'clock spring'. It's something you can't buy at Vatozone.

    If they want $500 to change the bushing. Depending on their Labor Hour rate. They're considering it to be more then three hours. Maybe 5-6. Steering columns are a one way Lego type set up. Assembled in a specific one way order. Others parts are required to be disassembled to replace the bushing. The whole column probably has to be removed out the car. Plus, maybe a few Rotunda tools to change out the bushing. It's something you can do in a day. Before you disconnect anything. Disconnect the battery. Anytime you work on the car and it involves any electronic connection. Disconnect-the-battery first.

    Bought myself a bday present. Mounted some BFG KO2’s. 35x12.5x17. They’re quiet but a little rougher ride than the stock 285 Wranglers. View attachment 136604

    Let some air out of them. They’ll ride much smoother. I usually run 50-55 on front and 60 on the rear. And carry an air compressor in case I pick up a heavy load.
