As it appears to be with you. Honestly, if you aren't interested, don't watch it. It's really that easy...
Was pretty hard to escape it as it was on every news channel when I was looking for regular news, hence my rant.
My issue with it isn't the people themselves, it is with the whole idea that there is a "royal" class.

Nope, honestly this is the first I've heard... makes me glad I'm "unplugged"... only Netflix and other online sources.

I even used that line on some Directv "salesmen" in a store the other day... "may I ask who you use as your provider?"

"I'm unplugged" and just keep walking...

But there is one other thing I don't miss- the bill every month.

I'm not a fan of the Royals or of Royalty but I loved watching the wedding coverage! I like seeing and doing new things and that event took unique off the scale! What an experience!

At 4pm, the Pimlico horse races came on and I'm glued to the tube! I couldn't afford to get to the race or to pay the tab to get in the racetrack, but I get to see it right here at home.

Two weeks ago, I saw the soggy run of the Kentucky Derby and now Justify is in contention for the second jewel in the "Triple Crown" in the Preakness.

I'll never forget seeing American Pharoah win the Triple Crown in 2015!

I'm so sorry for those who trash these magnificent events. I'm all smiles!

    Flash
And now it looks like Justify might get to repeat America's feat.

My sister wanted to watch so I set up the Tivo to record the BBC America realtime coverage starting at 3 in the morning. From what I can tell, the American news coverage was chock full of commercials and sidebar pieces with Americans who just wanted to hear themselves talk. In British fashion, the BBC coverage mostly pointed the cameras at what was going on and narrated over the top, without feeling the need to fill every second with blather.

Sis watched. I did chores and watched some by accident. I dropped in for the actual ceremony and the carriage ride which were pretty cool.

All in all, it was a painless way to handle something that I wasn't exactly sick of but wasn't terribly interested in, either, while keeping all occupants of the household happy.

When living in the UK, and although they have now copied us in the practice, it was a relief to watch a TV show without a laugh or applause track.
