We've had some discussion about gloves used during case trimming. I used the cheapy orange coated Home Depot gloves. I tore my last one this week. So I tried the Gorilla Grip gloves with the black rubber coating.

Two thumbs up. They work better than the orange ones.

These are a couple Hornady 55 gr. GMX bullets recovered from a 175lb boar. Bullets were loaded to 3000fps using Ram-Tac powder and WSR primers. Dropped the hog in its tracks. A friend of mine shot the hog with my loads. As soon as he gets the bullets back I will get measurements and weigh for weight retention. Looking st the pics, the Hornady GMX bullets he'll up performed well.

Just got the bullets back and expansion measured 0.440" on one and 0.435" on the other. Going to weigh for weight retention tonight but they look complete, no pedals or fragments appear to be missing. Hog had a devestating wound channel. Pic is a little graphic, but here is the entrance wound. Bullet was found on the exit side just under the hide.

Ok, got the 2 recovered 55 gr. .223 GMX bullets weighed. They appear to have 100% weight retention. One of them weighs 55.1 gr., the other is 55.3. Seems they gained weight probably from the traces of meat in the cavity and/or under the petals.

Very accurate! I have shot them out of 1-7, 1-8 and 1-9 twist AR's with excellent results. Less than 1MOA. I loaded them with 23.5 gr. of Ramshot Tac, WSR primers, cases trimmed to 1.750, primer pockets cleaned and deburred, flash holes were all uniformed. C.O.L. of 2.200. They can be loaded hotter, but have found that these lighter bullets can get a little iratic if I load them faster than 3000 FPS, especially in the 1-7 twist barrels.

I've got half a five gallon bucket of range pickup stuff to sort and clean.

I also picked up two five gallon buckets of wheel weights to sort today!
