    I was about to point that out, but didn’t want to geek out on everybody here. Then I thought about it, and if using wire wound resisters, he is still technically correct.

    Ben, I think you have a great idea.

    Next time you are in a business with apartments above look up at the ceiling. The internal AC units have big springs that isolate their vibration. Solves that problem.

    The exhaust could be tied to the plumbing vent. You may have to water cool it first but if water is included then problem solved. If not just run the line in front of the AC vent.

    I think your plan is very feasible. The expense may not make it practical though.

    Hmmmm. A disguised fuel cell on the balcony, shorter than the rail height so that it can't be seen by neighbors and super-quiet so that it can't be heard, now enters the thought process.
    That's a great idea. Set a potted plant on top of it and it'll just look like a table.
