Yes, yes, no question about it, this is a good thing with one caveat: Getting the women to actually carry.

    Most won't.

    I know.

My wife got her CHL years got her CHL, but simply will not carry.

Will put in vehicle in a leather bag, if she goes on a 50 plus mile trip by herself.

    Sigh...

I mentioned this phenomenon to other guys whose wife have LTC's and not ONE of them will carry either.

So my take is this is a 'feel good' exercise....

Perhaps a campaign emphasis to get our women to not only be licensed, but also carry is in order while taking training for license.

I do try to help and encourage women. It’s just really hard to convince a lot of them to actually do it. We actually live in a pretty safe society outside of major cities so I think not being scared into it is somewhat of a problem.

Not a lot of people care to be prepared for anything when life is good.

Some of the social groups like A Girl and a Gun or ladies range events or classes can work to ramp up the interest, if the lady is willing to go.

At these classes we bust out our boxes of random various holsters and pass them around like we are at a Tupperware party. ;)

But me (and other women like me) are tired of relentlessly pestering/inviting women friends (who SAY they would be interested) 127 times before they actually prioritize and show up for one day event before they fall off the map for another 6 months.

I mean, we will keep doing it, but it gets old.

That's a shame, in my opinion, women often need to be armed more than men.

I made an invite to a women’s pistol class to literally four women friends today who said they were interested generally...who all say, “not this month maybe next month.”

It generally gets prioritized dead last it seems, behind clipping toenails or something. I don’t get that.

I hope you never have to say "I told you so".
