One of my favorite. Weird as hell that some aspects of the movie are now current standing law.

( So we stay halfway on the subject)

College degrees have become a racket for loan interest payments.

Just take out another loan to cover the shortage today and add the amount to "Unfunded future liabilities." Nobody knows what that means anyway. Problem solved!

Notice the negative responses to my post just like last time I mentioned this? They borrowed for unfunded liabilities expecting us to pay it back. They have no idea what fiscal responsibility is as long as they get what they "earned." Meanwhile our generation is scraping to get by. We're the ones called "entitled." I swear to you they are the most entitled generation ever. They borrowed against the pension fund REPEATEDLY from social security and RE ELECTED the politicians who did it. It blows my mind.

They talk about the debt at 21 trillion, that's hilarious as the actual debt is over 120 trillion when you include unfunded liabilities.. Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid (ironically mostly medicare as much as they bitch about leaches to the system,) and the INTEREST on the debt that's been borrowed to pay for it make up 60% of our federal budget.. 60%!

A few solutions to this problem mta89 already pointed out. I can only add to those opinions by saying universities need to stop spending so much on sports. Don't get me wrong I love sports. It's just now even at the college level it's treated as an easy path to big money. You enter a draft, play for a year, suck get cut and you still have a shit ton of money. Meanwhile labs and classrooms are asking for help. Plus I think it would help kids who do want to play ball for a living did so on a typical salary. I would do something I love for 60k. Oh...I can hear it now...the entitled athletes screaming for millions. Stfu I say. Police and fireman tear their bodies up just as bad with way less pay.

Also adding to cutting useless programs is setting up courses that promote our countries growth once students look for jobs. Look if you can make a business off of making and selling useless carp, good on those people. However we don't see many students anymore doing anything innovative. You know how many high school kids I went to school with that had mommy and papa pay for college and walk out with a degree that is really generic? Most of them. Business management. Aka put a suit on and play with your pecked all day.

They've locked a lot professions behind the requirement of a degree.

What then? I know you've heard the saying, "Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life".

Until you have to pay for the privilege to work in the mf'er.

I disagree that all jobs are locked behind degrees being required. But most of my experience is in manufacturing. In that feild, even leadership, most places will interview you and consider you more so just by having the experience.

As for the saying do what you love and you will never work a day in your life. I don't feel that's correct. I mean, what I love is still taking me time to study and get muscle memory down. What I love requires I use it or lose it. I have to apply myself when I'm tired or hurt. I still love it. Nothing is free, even the things we love. Doesn't have to be money. It can be bruises and time.

Schools make money on football and men’s basketball. Bucket loads of money, off the backs of unpaid student athletes.

The problem is, this money doesn’t make its way back to educational programs. Instead it goes to private jets for coaches, multi-million coach salaries, boosters...there are a lot of hands on the take when it comes to the money these sports generate.

Any education is worthwhile, if the recipient is willing to use it.
No education exists that is usefull to a lazy person.

I challenged my youngest before she started college.
" A diploma is nothing, if you're not willing to work and utilize the knowledge".
So far, it seems that she listened.

    ...cutting useless programs...
UT has mandatory bullshit social studies classes even for STEM degrees. They call them flags, and students complain about them all the time, but they have to take them to get that engineering degree... Here's some examples:
    • AFR 301: African American Culture
    • E 314V: Native American Literature and Culture
    • UGS 303: Gender, Slaver, and Freedom
    • WGS 303: Introduction to LGBTQ Studies
    • ...and on ...and on ...and on ...and on

Funny how colleges are filled with commies but are the biggest "Big Business" businesses on the planet.

A relatively new and unique form of slavery (economic) and control (mind).

Follow the money ... the "student loan industry" itself donates 3/4 of it's political corruption budget to Republicans, while the supported industry, the "education industry", spends its political corruption dollars on the dems:

"Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton received the most money from the education industry in 2016 by far, with a total of approximately $23.7 million. Her primary challenger Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) came in second with almost $5.5 million, while her general election opponent Donald Trump was further down the list of top recipients at No. 8, with a total of about $778,000."

All this talk of "government by the people ..." more and more proves to be total bullshit ... time to take this SOB back.

Just wondering what ZACTLY do you learn in those courses?

Lesbo's lick, Gays suck, Bi gets more dates, Tranny's don't know if they squat or stand and Q's are just Q!

ALL white's have owned slaves, Pimpin don't count as slavery and Freedom is a ticket on a GreyDog Bus.

Native Americans own all lands and all lands are sacred, they pay no taxes and have rights to sell trinkets made in China anytime anywhere.

Listen to HipHop and RAP and it tells you everything you need to know.
