The GF keeps ordering those high dollar Yankee scented candles. In the last two months. Three have shown up busted all to $hit.

The latest candle showed up today. You can hear glass chunks rattling around the bag. It's screwed.

She seems awfully calm about getting busted candles in the mail.

15-25 years ago the power went out in my neighborhood every week, minimum, for hours, sometimes days, at a time. I was constantly stocking up on candles until I had way too many. No big deal since I'd eventually use them, right?

Then somebody fixed something; except for the occasional storm, we haven't had a major outage in well over a decade.

I suppose they'll eventually leave the house via a garage sale for a nickel on the dollar. :(
