I still don't get what you are implying. Those 4 cities already vote majority blue, not just Austin. So did some of the other smaller cities, mostly along the border but also Beaumont/Port Arthur. (2016):College connections. It gets a lot of worship by the left.

Fort Worth is pinkish in the above map, meaning it is not as red as the most of the smaller counties in the state. Is the fort worth area bad? As for austin...lets put it this way: I'm the rare exception in my family and threw the work/connections my dad and sister have, there are a lot of folks outside of Texas and in the university there that think they are the answer to Texas. The same snoody trash is what destroyed the areas in Oregon I mentioned. That's all I'm saying. That I see Austin as being like corvallis and its not good. Its really disgusting how a lot of professors view Austin vs the rest of Texas.

Chances are I will end up in Euless but Waxahachie area is also being considered.Fort Worth is pinkish in the above map, meaning it is not as red as the most of the smaller counties in the state.

I'm opposed to this for a variety of reasons. We don't need more federal laws, state laws are sufficient to deal with this issue (and they already do for the most part). This also seems like another major abuse of the interstate commerce clause, and IMO could potentially violate a person's natural right to self defense in some situations.
There have been cases where police have made up an assault allegation (Olmos Park, TX for example) if the Feds get involved in this that would be another layer of government an individual would have to defend themselves from legally.
Few thing make me glad I am old, but this does. Would not like to see it tip over. They just can't match the rural areas. Yet.
The United States Civil Service Retirement System didn't offer pensions nearly that high; the lifetime medical it offered was solidly discounted but not anything approaching cheap. Nevertheless, the federal government shut it down in 1982 because it was considered unsustainably expensive. It was replaced with the Federal Employee Retirement System which is basically just a 401K and social security plus a ridiculously small pension that only fully kicks in at 30 years service. The various insurance programs available under the program are pretty expensive, only marginally discounted from the private sector.Local govt's are out of control the pay and benefits for city and state employees is unsustainable without crushing taxes. In many cities you can retire at 20 years with 75% pay and 100% at 30 years, plus lifetime medical for which you pay in almost nothing and all that is boosted by the "high 3" and "high 5" averaging...
Actually, the similar to 401K, Thrift Savings Plan is better, plus the government as of yet can't touch it. The pension actually doesn't kick in until you are 62 years or older, the percentage is based on years in service. The United States Civil Service Retirement System didn't offer pensions nearly that high; the lifetime medical it offered was solidly discounted but not anything approaching cheap. I find it odd that the feds were able to see a problem on the horizon and fix it 30 years before more local governments got smacked with the results of not fixing the problem. Usually the federal government lags behind in finding solutions.
I will give ALL advice and you take or not:
Live outside of the city limits of anything, do no live in a community or any kind of housing development even rural. You goal should be to eliminate as much govt from your life as you can. Ideally you want your deed to say "Unrestricted" Acreage, drink water from your well and have a septic system. Apply the 'Pizz Test' which is can you go outside and take a pizz on your property and not worry about someone seeing you.
They will just eventually say communism. The brainwashed left has been gradually getting worse and openly accepting of communism and other forms of government to replace our system. Some don't even hide it anymore. The next Dem that takes office will bring the communist-socialist dream to reality thru taxation.
