You are thinking of the P320 I believe. The 365 just came out.

The P365 is on the 2nd gen pretty much.

No worries from that thread. Many new handguns have had issues at first (Gen 4 Glock 9mm for an example). Some P365s are having issues and some are not. Mine has been 100% reliable. Until mine gives me a reason to worry I am good to go. If there is an issue I am confident that Sig will take care of me from my experience with them in the past.

I just shot one yesterday... I liked it better than the glock 43.. I thought I would hate the trigger. I didn't.... I'd buy one.. if they didn't have that SIG tax on them.. I'll stick with the shield until the price comes down or until competitors start matching the conceal + capacity for a lower price.

    the recoil was not bad.

It's a good idea to close your mouth when shooting. Lots of sound can be transmitted through your mouth, plus flying gun oil tastes bad (Frog Lube excluded).

    Good pic.

Are you leaning on that wall?

    No

I use ballistol... but outside of that... interesting about the sound waves... I dont hold my mouth open usually, that was an anomaly.

And you know this from personal experience??? :green:
lol yes to both... Sometimes I'll shoot and it seems louder than normal. Then I realize I'm mouth breathing. Close the yap and it's quiet again.

...and yeah I've had an overlubed gun throw oil in my face. Good thing I was wearing glasses.

Military Arms Channel reported some issues with a dragging firepin

Yeah I saw the video, may be that particular gun or it may be one run was really bad on those pins. I checked my shells, I didn't see it. Either they got a good one or they've replaced it. Obviously with only 60 or so rounds down the tube i can't tell you long term. Again, I'd buy it if there wasn't a sig tax.

I've been looking for something smaller for the hot weather. I've looked at a shield, xds and a 43. I was going to look at a pps m2 and the p365 just popped up on my radar. I know nothing is guaranteed and anything can break. This article does give me pause when it comes to the 365

My Gen 1 Shields have been nothing but reliable, but once the 365 problems are over I'll probably switch over.

With the striker breaking issues and the trigger spring failure reports, I have taken my P365 out of my EDC role. I have the scrape marks on the back of my mags as reported and I have striker drag marks on primers. So, I plan to put more rounds through it and see what happens. \

There is an aftermarket striker for the P365 now, but at $100 I am not jumping on it. I bought the P365 becuase of its capacity and it is perfect for me right out of the box.

Back to my faithfull Shield 9 and Ruger LCR 38+P.
