We saw Rabbits around the garden. I need to set some traps. Just not sure what a rabbit might want to eat badly enough to enter the trap.
When I was in the 4th grade, in a new home with new grass, cottontails were destroying new lawn. Pop bitching allatime about it. I set a trap by hanging a catfish-sized hook about 4" off the ground. Baited with a piece of carrot. Didn't catch a rabbit. Ma wasn't happy with my invention.

It seems that some people here think that it is okay to put their problem off on other people by relocating cats. That is like picking up trash in your yard and dumping it in someone else's yard.

meh in my case I have no interest in dumping them in a neighborhood. Middle of the desert is fine with me. Survival of the fittest just like the owners that don't think they have to keep cats on there property and not roaming.

But dont think I am anti Cat. I think any rule breakers should get the same treatment human or animal. Ah hell with that nuke um all. lol

“And this mess is so big
And so deep and so tall,
    We cannot pick it up.
There is no way at all!”
Dr. Seuss, The Cat in the Hat

“I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!”
    Dr. Seuss

I was on the deck just a few minutes ago and watched 2 young ones ignore the strawberry's and celery I put in the live trap by where they are living under the shed.
Looks like your idea may be worth a try.
