Funny thing is, the child pictured was never taken from her mother. The mother set the child down while she was frisked and picked her back up.
News said it was the mother’s second time being caught illegally in the U.S. She had been deported once before. This arrest would make her subject to a felony charge, this time around (according to the news report). Have no idea if ICE actually charged her that way. But yeah, the photo was as “fake” as fake news can be.
Who would’ve thunk Time’s journalistic integrity would have ever hit such a low point?
A sad state of affairs for the once powerful ‘fourth estate’.
