You gotta really watch them right now. They go up and down a little it seems.
Hunting for that "market price point" since they got away from Perfecta.
Been diggin their Federal Brass. In the 200 box it was down in the 9+ range (per 50"box") which is pretty nice. Been a couple months since Ive bought it though.

Properly chastised I will get back on topic. Picked this up today. Used Glock 30 with 4 10 rd & 2 13 rnd mags. Ghost trigger and Trijicon sights. ( A previous TGT buy my BIL picked up a couple of weeks ago and decided he didn't want it). Had 89 rounds of ammo with it.

Oh no. They have pretty much phased that completely out about a year ago. (dang I picked up some cheap ammo bargains then) Started carrying much more Federal product in its place and a little bit of other stuff too. (I believe we were on 9mm in general) They have the "Winchester Forged" really cheap which is Winchester Steel. Then they jump to the Federal Aluminum husks. Then, of course, they carry the same Federal in Brass. The boxes for Federal look identical and the only difference is the end flap will read "ALUM" or "BRASS" The letters also have a highlighted background in aluminum or brass color.

When they started, about a year ago, the stuff was pretty pricey in general except for the Forged. Since then they have slowly adjusted to market and they seem to have landed back in the "Perfecta" price range on about everything except .223

Most Wally "fans" were heartbroken when they phased out the cheaply priced Perfecta (like me) but since then I believe its been a blessing as their prices have come into line with market. They also picked up their game on simply CARRYING sd ammo of all types in the Federal line, which may not be your particular fav but it gets ya by. They have a lot of .223 choices but I find them to be at/or slightly above market.

OAF we have a thread that specifically watches this Wally trend around the country. I watch the Waco stores and mine in Mexia.

Just a little warning about the Winchester Forged. It has some kind of weird powder/dust on the cases. It just builds up in the gun as you shoot it.

Oh yea...Im sorry, we were just talkin pricing...

    Winchester Forged.....Hate it!!!

Its poly coated steel like the most of em. Whether a guy thinks its the poly melting, powder on the case, or lack of sealing expansion in the chamber etc. That stuff is dirty nasty filthy as all get out!!!

Agree, no interest in putting poly coated in my guns.

    Gunz are icky.
I tried some of that WW "forged" ammo a while back.
Very poor cycling in my weapons.
    Many many FTF/FTE.
    Have not tried it since.
Hopefully they improved it by now.
