I recently purchased a Bond Arms derringer 38/357. I was wondering if anyone carry’s one for their ccw and if so what caliber and how do you carry? Thanks in advance.

Howdy! I don't own a derringer but I think it would be best to start with a lower power .38 Special cartridge in that small of a gun and work your way up to more powerful ammo until you get used to it.

For tiny, something like a Kahr Mk40 Elite. Fits in the back pocket of jeans. Good round (.40). Five + one in the chamber.

Nothing about the bond arms is tiny.

Why not get a bond arms over any other gun, no matter what gun you get someone will say you should have gotten blah blah because its better but you know what there is a gun better than the one you said.

Why do I need a 10 round capacity when I am on the back 40 of my land and the only worry is a rattler or rabid fox. For most encounters why do you need more than 2. if you say what if you are facing 3 bad guys. If you think you are going to shoot all 3 in a stressful situation when you are not well trained good luck with that.

There is always a better option but if you are not hurting for cash and enjoy firearms why not get what tickles your fancy.

What if you run into 3 rabid foxes on your back 40.

Be careful with those. My cousin had a ND with a 45 Colt/410 version. The cross block safety was half way between safe and fire and it went off when the hammer was fanned on accident. It WAS 100% operator error but just a note of caution.

I would absolutely not carry one as my single and only primary means of self defense unless there was no other option available. I would though, consider carrying one as an oh $h!t! back-up.

Then again, I've got a few very specific needs to consider in my choice of EDC firearms
