You are a better man than most if you can hit a live snake with a Bond Arms 38/357.

Nothing about the bond arms is tiny.

Why not get a bond arms over any other gun, no matter what gun you get someone will say you should have gotten blah blah because its better but you know what there is a gun better than the one you said.

Why do I need a 10 round capacity when I am on the back 40 of my land and the only worry is a rattler or rabid fox. For most encounters why do you need more than 2. if you say what if you are facing 3 bad guys. If you think you are going to shoot all 3 in a stressful situation when you are not well trained good luck with that.

There is always a better option but if you are not hurting for cash and enjoy firearms why not get what tickles your fancy.
Why? If trouble made an appointment ....

In retrospect, nothing wrong with the derringer!

I like them and have been on the fence about buying one. I think they are cool and I love the idea of the 000 buck in the .410. But the practical side of me has a problem with he cost, and the fact that tit is heavier than my air weight S&W that is 14 ounces and gives me five rounds of .38special. The Bond I have just those two rounds and single action at that.

But it is cool as heck!

Beautiful gun. I can see myself getting one as conversation piece (in a few years maybe) but personally would pick some other guns as CCW

I had a high standard .22 mag derringer back in the early 70s. I could point it straight down and not be able to hit the ground with it. Unless that Bond is murch more accurate that it..would not count on being able to take off a snakes heard unless it was real close. Traded it off and in 82 starting lugging a five shot .22 NNA mini wheel gun. Just around the house..taking out the trash etc..but its fairly accuarate for a tiny gun. It in the front pocket of my flannel grand pa pants as we speak. When going out of the driveway..I always tote my Sig P-226 in forty cal. Love that gun. It hides out surprisingly well and holds 13.

I have always had a soft spot for derringers. I currently have 2 Bond Arms derringers and an American Derringer Model 1 in 45 Colt/.410.

I have shot them all and the Bond is definitely the most robustly built, but that said, the American Derringer is so much more appropriately sized for a derringer in that you get a 3" barrel .410 in a gun that weighs only 15oz and is thinner, lighter and easier to cock than the Bond. I have included a picture that show my ivory gripped 2.5" barrel bond along with my ADC Model 1 with the 3" barrel.

Despite the lesser weight, the ADC is no more of a bear to shoot than the Bond. I have put 20 rounds of Critical Defense .410 through it as well as 20 rounds of .45 Colt Critical Defense and it was not a big deal at all. At 3 yards, 2 rounds of this stuff serves the purpose of a get away from me gun if one was so inclined to carry such a thing.

Those things are sweet! I’d love to have one, just to have but I wouldn’t carry it. More of a showpiece

I like that American Derringer, but are they still even in business?

I understood that there was a very nasty fight between Bond and Elisabeth Saunders and since then American Derringer hasn't done too well. I never see them in a gun shop, but I do see used Bond's here and there.

I went ape sh** when the Bond derringers came out. I bought two of 'em. Came in a neat little wooden box. It was definitely a BUG, as I go nowhere without the G26. And, you guesed it....... I sold both of 'em. Used the money to help buy a Scorpion. Which I ended up selling because I didn't want to take the time and money to convert it into a rifle. *sigh.
