I'll start by saying I'll be 58 this month. During my life I've never partaken of the Devil's Lettuce.

A couple months ago my wife finally convinced me to try some CBD oil for my chronic pain. I did some research and found a company that had very good reviews and gives a 40% discount to Veterans and some other groups.

I ordered a small bottle of their high potency CBD oil.

I wasn't expecting much to happen. I was wrong and boy was I wrong.

I've used a heating pad on my back while sitting for several years. It was the only way to help with the back pain and the pain radiating down my legs.

Since I've been taking the CBD oil I haven't used the heating pad once. The once constant pain in my legs is pretty much under control. The arthritis in my joints is not giving me fits. I'm sleeping much better.

I have to admit that the CBD oil worked for me. For the first time in years I'm no longer in constant pain.

I tried some of that a few times a year or two ago, and though it sorta helped with some of my pains and ailments, though the results I got were not near as good as yours. I also got a weird feeling when I used it. I know there's not supposed to be any THC in it, and maybe mine just wasn't the quality, or as refined as yours, but, I'm leery of trying it again. Maybe it's because I started getting physically ill after a time when I did smoke cannabis regularly. Maybe I developed some sort of weird allergy to it or something??

I'm glad it's working out for you. Just wish it worked for me. I'd much rather that than popping pills all day.

The g/f has been using it for joint pain (knees) and swears by it too. She found that if she took too much she would experience much of what you are saying. She also found that many times the instructions tell you to take more than you should. She had to figure out about how much is right for her.

So does every pharmaceutical company. Super curious. If they can figure it out. Then they can reproduce it and patient it. But thanks to mother nature. The chemical profile of the plant is a complex make up that only nature can create. When they isolate a certain chemical of the plant. It doesn't act the same by itself verses a complete profile.

Pharmaceutical companies have been trying hard to unlock the secrets.

Fast facts. Cannabis is the only plant on earth to visibly shows a male and female sex.

Nobody knows exactly why the plant produces THC. Bug repellant? Wind or heat protection? To make it taste bad to animals? Nobody really knows why it produces the chemicals it does. Some theories suggest the reason the plant stinks to high hell is so humans can locate the plant in the wild. Nothing else smells close to it. There's no such thing as a faux cannabis plant.

Or why dogs have cannabinoid receptors either.

Let's put it this way, When I started getting pain management treatment at a VA hospital in central Texas, one of the first things the Doc. asked was, "Do you smoke marijuana?", I said "no" and reasons for it, he basically said,"That too bad, it would probably help you a great deal." And it's been asked by pretty much every pain Doc. I've seen since.

CBD oil has anti-inflammatory properties. It has pain relief and muscle relaxing properties. It's great for muscle spasm sufferers like myself. It has blood "thinner" properties that lower blood pressure but doesn't "thin" the blood. It has benefits for astigmatism and myopia(?). It has benefits for some ADHD types. And I think I read somewhere where there are some benefits for some mildly autistic kids and a few adults. May have misread that last part, so don't take that as gospel. It has some kind of property in it that helps calm and sooth the side effects of chemo. therapy and radiation therapy for cancer patients. All kinds of good stuff

Lol no they haven’t. They just want to keep you sick but alive. It’s all about farming the sick to make bank. You can’t make good money if you cure people with something they can use growing in their backyards. Be it cannabinoids to tannins to flavonoids whatever group you pick, each group has the ability to get people off drugs with nasty side effects. Side effects you need other meds for lol. If you experience bleeding peehole while on fukidol, contact your dr right away.

They don’t try. Natural products (actual department) have been around a while and it all just gets suppressed. For example most of the work my dad did will probably never see the light of day because of them.

At one time, I was on 12 different meds. Veterans Affairs. Things to keep you from dreaming, things that speed you up, others that slow you down to a zombie. Then more $hit to be able to sleep at night. Some of it was highly addictive.

To the VA a pill fixes everything. I've heard doctors joke about it to each other. Then while their getting a guberment' pay check. The pharmacy looks at you like you're a crack head. Making comments about the crap that they themselves are shoveling to you. As if fighting depression wasn't enough.

Then like, Mr Byrd. A doctor says something under the radar and off paper. "There's alternatives". I had three doctors suggest cannabis. The third and final one was a neurologist. Again, off paper.

So either these people were setting people up for failure or they actually gave a $hit. It's hard to tell with the VA. Both kinds of those people look the same up there....

I don’t use the stuff just due to jobs. I don’t think any of it needs to be regulated. Drop this 80’s war on drugs mindset for weed. Put it in liquor stores. Tax it. Remove stipulations about it for firearms ownership.

Liquor stores will not be ok with that. It'd cut into alcohol sales. Plus a big majority of the cannabis culture are against all things alcohol. To put the "herb" next to a known poison wouldn't fly. They wouldn't agree to it. I don't. No way.

She also says terpenes in concentration may give some allergic reactions or headaches, reducing the dose significantly may help. It depends a lot on which type you get.

Well the weed people and booze people can fight over that one. Those are personal issues. I’m just tired of the funds that go into the war on weed still.

The war on drugs makes money. You're not losing anything. It's a racket. From private prisons to the companies that build the patrol boats on the coast. All the people who feed their kids employed doing it. That money is returned into the local economy.

If it lost money then it'd be easy to get rid of.

I remember reading an article in Playboy, sometime in the '80s that said if we, the U.S.A., legalized pot and put something like a 1% national tax on it and regulated it like we do alcohol sales, the National Debt would be paid in less than ten years and we would have an X billion dollar surplus.

Oh well. That was then, this is now.

It's not about money for the tax payers, but money it is.
