You must have different cats. Ours won't give a specific cat toy a look for months, until one of them starts playing with it. Then they ALL want to have it.
you just proved my point. Once one takes it, the others want it and would seek to deprive the others of it. Some folks want things for the sole reason of keeping joy from others.

    You said "A cat would never do that . . ." :P

I'm curious how many website did you have to search, and for how long, to get the best prices on parts for your AR?
Anderson lower @Primary, picked up, 30 bucks (on sale) +couple 2-3 bucks tax. Transfer is on them.

Delta team tactical. Kits from 210 to 240 to 260ish. 5% off special also helps.

Boom......sub 300 buck AR (sans mags and optics)

Several kit makers out there fit this catagory (Palmetto mentioned above). Local Houston guys have a real leg up. My kid is in Pearland so Primary is right next door. I always pick one up when they hit on sale.

Now, dont get me wrong, we are not building Seekins Noveske thousand yd one mile sniper rifles. Just a fun AR with a decent MOA that goes pewpewpew.

...plus a dab of rustoleum (and a Colt Match grade barrel no less). Pistol is a Palmetto/KAK

They always felt like a brick in my hand. But that was from the stand point of not spending time with one. Saw the 19x... thought it was cool looking. Bought it. Played around changing the backstrap. Now that I have it dialed in... I'm sold. I can grip it tight and let'r rip. Accurately.

If I bought another Glock, it would be the 19X. Cool looking gun.

I'm curious, for those that don't like them, what specifically do you not like? I primarily shoot and collect 1911's and have been trying to persuade myself to purchase a few modern pistols. For one, it will allow me to save my slicked up 1911's from the wear and tear of daily carry. So far the only modern pistol I own is a Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 9mm, I do appreciate the round capacity of that pistol, the trigger took some getting used to but I have it now.

I'm now considering a Glock G23 or Sig Legion P226, quite a price difference between the two. The Glock seems a rather good value, the Sig has more familiarity to me though, not sure how well I can get used to the Glock without a thumb safety. I actually added a thumb safety to my M&P 9, years of shooting the 1911 makes it feel weird without one. I've come to accept the bulkiness of a double stack pistol over a 1911 so that's not a factor. Any good reasons against the Glock? On paper the Glock seems like one hell of a good value.

I tried to like them. I spent a day at the range with a buddy and his G17. I think the geometry and grip just don’t suit me. I was all over the place with it.
So when I set his 17 down and picked up my PPQ and I heard the faint Angel chorus and a beam of sunlight broke through the clouds and fell directly on my hand holding the PPQ, I knew. I promptly blew the center out of the target and remained a Walther guy.

I agree. I love everything about my 1911 and I shoot it more than any pistol I have and it's what I'm most accurate with. I like Glock but after using a 1911 it's like there's nothing even in your hand. I'm a big guy so maybe it's just me but I like the heft and the feal of real steal in my hand compared to a piece of plastic that hardly weighs anything. Don't get me wrong they're nice weapons. Really it all just comes down to personal preference and what you yourself shoot best with.
