So, the Dallas News article consumes a lot of type but basically says nothing. Reminds me of the old Sunday edition newspapers we used to have delivered at home....were about 8" thick and weighed 5 lbs...when you got done reading through it all you realized you wasted half a day for nothing

Just out of nostalgia I bought the Sunday edition of the Dallas Morning news a couple of weeks ago, first time in many years I bought a newspaper. And what a waste of $3.99 that was.

After 7 day I received one piece of mail today; it was mailed from Los Angeles last Thursday and it arrived before anything else.

As a kid in the 1950s I remember playing with Mercury we would coat pennies with it and make it dimes out of them or at least try to pass them as dimes we also used to roll it around in our palms a glob of mercury was like a bubble and if you dropped it on a hard floor it still stay to Bubble

As I recall, if you dropped it on a hard floor, it split into many, many other “little bubbles” that would all roll around everywhere like the large original bubble! (Then you’d have to kinda rake them all back together to try and reform the single large original bubble).

I don't believe in fairytales that the gov't passes out like candy to stupid kids...
And I sure don't believe the media any further that I can toss an ivory piano.

The facts as I know them locally.
    1. Mail in the area SE of Dallas is almost at a standstill. I got one small package last week. Late...
    2. Since the last delivery, last Friday, nothing. Another package, my Eezox order [very precious to me] is said to be sitting in Dallas...for three stinking days!

Now I'm patient. I once waited 4 days to cap an NVA Col. at his little compound. Stood stakeouts on criminal elements for weeks. But putting a package or plain mail in a basket and then onto a truck? Come on, how hard can this be? I worked in shipping carpet when young. We didn't panic if things went a little south. We bucked up and got busy. People wanted their products. We want our mail....
I'm no longer hunting VC or bad guys here. I'm just a little old man in the woods that likes to shoot old guns. Is it too much to ask for my fresh supply of Eezox?
You guys waiting on checks and valuable items needed for business must really be suffering. You do have my sincere appreciation for the spot this "incident" has placed you....

Nope, don't believe in fairytales or magic.

Day 2 after the reopening of Coppell...

Received my second letter from California today. First one was mailed last Thursday and arrived here Tuesday. This one was mailed last Wednesday and arrived today. Go figure

Only other mail was bulk mail from solicitors. I know my insurance renewal, credit card statement and other items were due in several days ago. I created an account with USPS Informed Delivery and it shows me getting two pieces of junk tomorrow along with two letters for the former occupants.

Received letters & package today (in McKinney). Maybe, just maybe things have gotten ironed out. If they haven’t quite yet, I’d guess they will be over the next day or two.

Back to normal now here in the Athens area. Got my Eezox. Mild celebration...
But the real sign of restoration was crap sent here for my 3rd ex-wife. Now I know the mail is running like it once did.
