So you are saying that the 'oil' I was taking was actually a 'tincture'?

From the description, Yes. Oil has the consistency of hot stick glue. Tincture is green and resembles liquid.

High CBD plants have been bred. Extremely low if any THC. Extraction is interchangeable.

Lol, fair enough. I still think you got tincture.

The CBD that I took was called oil by the people that made it and the people that sold it.

From what I have read most, if not all, of the CBD on the market is extracted using alcohol as a solvent. Whether the marketers call it a tincture or an oil it is essentially the same thing.

It's expensive but you can use it topically. You can add it to rubbing alcohol. Rub the effected area. Repeat as much as you want.

    * It's not edible if rubbing alcohol is added. Strictly a muscle or joint rub.

CBD oils are different from cannabis tincture oils.

A CBD is the extracted part of the flower with NO canibioids/THC in it... it comes as a oil to injest & just has the medical properties, not the high effect. The stuff you would give kids with seizures. And can be purchased in Texas.

Tincture oil has THC & can get you high with the medical properties. It is similar to edibles & have to be consumed. It is also a controlled substance in most states.

Both processes are similar to extract, the main difference is one has to be heated to activate the THC during the extract process.

If you want CBD's they have a few places in Houston now

Part of your statement is correct. "CBD oils are different from cannabis tincture oils."

I am not going to go into great detail about this.

CBD oil or tincture is extracted from the hemp plant which little or no THC in it. Cannabis oil or tincture is extracted from cannabis plants which contain high amounts of THC.

Anyway...it seemed there were confusions between CBD's & tinctures, and just wanted to clarify....one is legal... the other is not in Texas & comes with a warning... do not operate heavy machinery

ok... I didn't specifically say hemp plant... but did say flower with no THC...same thing no?

Sounded to me that you were saying that part of a cannabis flower has THC in it and part of it don't. And that is not correct.

What is commonly referred to as CBD oil or CBD tincture comes from a species of hemp or cannabis plant that contains little or no THC. That species of plant is generally referred to as hemp.

What is commonly referred to as cannabis oil or cannabis tincture comes from a species of hemp or cannabis plant that contains high amounts of THC. That species of plant is generally referred to as cannabis.
