"...but we're still here and chugging along" - this.

I've heard 'the world is gonna end tomorrow or maybe next week' predictions since I was a small child and now I'm elderly. Ain't happened yet.

But, yes, one day our personal presence draws to a close...so while the world continues, we don't with the world 'continuing to chug along'.

First, don’t take what I have to say as an insult to you. Definitely not the case.

The hilarious thing about YouTube is the amount of pure trash on it. So do my life experiences make me an expert? Absolutely not. I have said these things before on this board, but most conspiracy theories involving science are fake or IMO generated to make money. If you take your time and research real data you will discover a lot of Conspiracy claims in regards to astronomy don’t hold up. Now you could rebuttal with what if data is altered? Sure. It’s always a possibility but nasa and plenty of other services outsource to universities. This is how I debunked a lot of astronomy claims back in the early 2000’s from Alex Jones website and others like him. One was the case of Aussie bloke claiming a group of asteroids were gonna hit us. After doing a little digging, not only was a professors name used online without his knowledge, the soho images used as proof were misrepresented because people didn’t know the artifacts in question were blind spots you could say due to its own hardware. These spots were blacked out and thought to be censored but at the time it couldn’t physically view that area. Most professionals I have met threw my fathers work history have been normal joe blows. Some of them in astronomy, some high up in the cdc, one with homeland security, all in all the things talked about on camping trips don’t make me feel like much is going on. Also we should always challenge ourselves to research claims as best we can in this day and age. It’s really hard to keep things a secret. People talk. I won’t dismiss a rebuttal that the government will kill people or discredit them. I’m not gonna say you’re wrong, you may not be.

Planet X is the biggest lie imo. It’s not coming. Now new study does support maybe we do have a binary twin for our sun; maybe. Also another giant might be beyond the kuiper belt but a Planet X disaster claim is going against the properties of what we know about the universe like it’s claimed orbit. Also the tie ins with the Mayan calendar was getting ridiculous. 2012 the year of disaster was supposed to happen before 2012. The internet ran pretty good with 2012. Another issue people have is calendars. Like going from the Julian to gregorian. Calendars indeed have issues. Though ancient aliens is something I’m very open to. I think it’s very possible aliens did visit us. As a nerd I hope so. I think drawings from ancient civilizations depict very obvious encounters. Like this one:

Sure looks like light or other energy from a corded power source to me.

I don’t know dude...just my two cents. Maybe I’m wrong and In that case live life to it’s fullest!

Silly Willy, the universe is flat. (In my case, 32".)

Monday- at home, very low threat level.
Tuesday- on the road all day, elevated threat level.
Today- off the beaten path, behind the fence of a mobile home park. MS 13 spray paintings scattered about. Threat level very high.

Sounds like you're much more focused on the political/economic stuff and dismissive of the "fantastic" stuff. I think this is where a lot of people are at.

I'm just fascinated by the fantastic stuff... goes along with being a lifelong sci-fi fan I guess. And I read the "Chariots of the Gods" book when it first came out and that's what got me interested in that topic.

I'd have to say that given everything that I've seen evidence-wise to this point, I am convinced that we've been influenced by extra-terrestrials. And the case for them "uplifting" our species is very strong too - including the DNA evidence.
Let's just put the ET thing in perspective with facts and not fantasy or denial (which is not a river in Egypt).

Our earth is about 4.5 Billion years old

Our Universe as we know it is about 13 Billion years old

If we lay our ego's aside then we accept that our earth is not the only single planet in the Universe that may have life on it.

Given that as fact then let us believe that there is a life form out there that is say 100 years more mature than we are. That said let's look at out rate of advancement beginning at post WWII till today and now if you open your mind, ask the question, where will we be in 100 years.

I STRONGLY believe in GOD, I also believe that we were guided by aliens to rise from and beyond the caves and I see no conflict with the Bible and my line of thinking...

NO I do not believe in evolution, we did not come from one cell or any monkey, want proof:

Human's are the only ones that NEED to wipe their azz after they take DUMP

No offense taken. I totally agree that most of the crap on youtube is basically "click bait" - designed to get you to watch and earn the channel money from the advertisers.

But some of it is interesting and thought provoking.

If I was you boys I'd be much more worried about machine AI and stuff like that than then US government collapsing. Elon Musk is a lot smarter than anyone on this board and he's scared of it.
He also admits it could be a great thing, but he doesn't know. It's his lack of control over the outcome that frightens him.
