Yes I noticed now the local ABC 13 News is doing Puff Pieces on Beto. The real polls must have Cruz ahead
Most likely, but the reality is Texas is on the way to blue. There is a strong and growing liberal movement in Texas, been here for a long time and our major cites have fallen one by one to the solid blue vote leaving only the rural vote to keep Texas Red and as the cities grow the rural votes get fewer.

I hate to think about that, but sadly you are correct.

Liberals have killed the goose that lays the Golden egg everywhere they have taken power across all of known history.

When Texas turns blue America goes down as a result...

    Ole Cowboy,

Neither you nor I will live long enough to see TX go Blue or likely even PURPLE.

Texans, even in Dallas, Houston, etc. are SMARTER than that, as the DIMocRATS are TOO FAR LEFT for most suburban & rural Texans.

Tarrant County votes red by a pretty wide margin and almost 3 million people live here.. Not all cities are whacko liberal just the ones infected with Californians, or in the case of Houston, Katrina refugees.

Bet the media doesn’t publish/show the foul language the Fake Mexican Robert Francis frequently uses in public. Indicating to me that he lacks the eduction and character to hold this office on behalf of our State. He can use that language all he wants in private but - on a campaign stop indicates a total lack of class. Texas Tribute had a compilation - now taken down - imagine! He uses the “F. ‘ word constantly on the campaign trail - he thinks it’s cute.

    Cvhjr; Brains,

About 2000 hours, 06NOV18, when the returns start rolling in, it will seem NEITHER cute, hip NOR edgy. = I'm predicting CRUZ by 25 points.

Ok, Bro, talk is cheap and I think it is going to happen a lot sooner than most think and here is why:

I live in what is (supposedly) one of the most conservative counties in Texas. I was involved in politics here for about 5 almost 6 years and we have IMO a LOT of closet liberals here.

The 2 years leading up to Obama's second term it was forbidden to talk about Obama at the GOP club, in fact only 2 people mentioned his name and I was one of them.

The GOP here was controlled by an individual who recently moved here from Cali, I knew them well and Texas Conservative there were NOT! This individual is now high up in the Texas GOP, very high!!!!

The GOP here is run by a President, VP, etc, but its the way that the President-etc gets there that bothered me: The 'controllers' have secret meetings and a Prez is picked, then its announced and in a meeting they say Joe Doaks is our endorsement and is there ANYONE who wishes to oppose him/her? Ok, then lets vote and the people they pick are at best pawns, step 'n fetch it's for the secret cabal (I was a member of that cabal until I voiced my opposition to the way they picked leaders and I quit).

Point being I think there are a LOT of liberals across Texas they just don't admit to it and in fact wear the badge of conservative. No shortage of them in our Austin based reps...

    Heh.

As I heard a smart flag officer say one time, “No one wants to listen to my speculations, so why I would want to listen to yours?”

40 years ago, the first Republican governor since Reconstruction was elected. There’s more than a century’s worth of Democrat control in Texas before that.

Don’t believe me, read about it on the Texas GOP website: https://www.texasgop.org/overview-and-history/

At the state level, Texas government has traditionally been small, fiscally conservative, and believe it or not socially liberal. Most of that was due to the strong and common bond of Christianity.

As the state has grown since 2005, domestic immigration in Texas has outgrown native Texan growth 2 to 1. They primarily come fro CA first, then NY, IL, and FL. They come without our values or the context of what it means to be Texas and to be Texan. And worst of all, they come of voting age.

As governor, Rick Perry (R) championed a business friendly environment and encouraged corporate relocations for the majority of this time frame. What he failed to understand was there’s no such thing as a free lunch; you can’t grow that drastically that quickly without significant demographic change. He also failed to remember you reap what you sow. You want high-tech industries and Tier 1 research institutions? You will get what comes with that.

    Kar98u,

Certainly was. = The DIMocRATS of 2018 wouldn't accept Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy or Lyndon Johnson as "members in good-standing", much less as nominees for any national office.
Even Charlie Wilson or Ralph Yarborough would be "shown the door" by the hate-FILLED LEFTIST LOONS of 2018.
