Hog hunting near west side of Ft Worth

Any recommendations on places to hunt hogs?

You can try Hooters over there, not the cream of the crop for sure. Then the bar over near White Settlement, the 'Just slidin In' or just down the street there is the Empty Arms, I picked up a biker babe there, she was not much to look at but she told me she could suck start that Harley she was riding. There is a T&A joint that a lot of older guys go to, Sloppys & Floppys, the only thing cheaper than the beer is the women. Let us know how the huntin goes...

Dang near any rancher out in these parts would let you hog hunt. But I know that's a drive...

I have been looking too. I have had one health issue after another since moving here but I'd really like to shoot a hog or two. I had one member on another forum offer to take me to his lease but he since moved away. Anyone ever hunt at 3 Curl? Not really west of FW but they have a good price.

Yeah, saw them on DFW Outdoorsman over the weekend. I haven't called them yet to get a price on hogs.

What is the deal?

Saw one 450yrds out last night about 12am. The wife said "shoot him". I laughed... the 223 would be traveling too far for that one. Nice big sucker. Took 4wheeler about 200yrds in... and he was now where to be found. I had to get up and go to work... so I couldn't pursue it.

According to their web site the North Texas hog hunt is:

"Cost is $200/person with no kill fee, no limits on pigs, and no required cleaning fees. Lodging available $75/person."

There's an outfitter closer to your way that charges $300 for a 2 day hunt. There's a 2 hog limit, but it includes meals and lodging. I'm considering it.

When I get closer to getting ready to go, we might look into carpooling. Parking at my house would cut a lot off of 3 Curl, and parking at yours for the 2 hog hunt for me.

That don't seem bad. Especially if you get a lot of action.

FaceBook has a page, Texas Hog Hunters,and you might try there. If it wasn't so close to deer season, could probably slip out to the lease in Jacksboro area and get a couple.

Thanks , I'm not in a hurry , I can wait out deer season.
