Correctemundo! Even UT-Austin tends to produce graduates with mostly center right/libertarian views, contrary to popular belief.

And then, there’s the A&M system.

I don’t know how students come out of UT, but I have seen plenty of evidence that the school is run by full blown socialists with the goal of turning the students in to a new generation of progressives.

Their professors and staff have lead student protests against conservative speakers, promoted violence against speakers, and spread completely false information about speakers. The school has chosen to take no action against them. Might as well change the name to UT Berkeley.

He did get one point across. He visited every county in Texas. A point he made over and over. I wonder how many he just drove through vs stopped and actually talked to random people to see what they actually thought?

Don’t remember him coming here. I would have like to have asked a few questions.

JRB, my point exactly, if he had actually looked at what goes on in texas vs coffee clatch meetings, he would have known he failed in his century old jim crow - ladies in hats with a bag picking cotton 'picture' he tried to present - basically black slave Texas. That is his only hope for votes and he knows it or otherwise he wouldn't have tried to paint that picture.

    jrbfishn,

I suspect that he never visited my home county, as MOST Texans don't even know where "LITTLE" Camp County even is. = We're 62 miles due North of Tyler/Smith County.
(After Rockwall, we are the smallest of TX counties & have few people too.)

Pretty, rural, county but little to make a living at unless you have a peach orchard, build custom livestock gates or are a bass-fishing guide.

You're in Camp Co? Nice. I'm over in Gregg, didn't hear of doofus coming here either. Maybe they wanted it as quiet as possible, didn't want all the REP's making trouble :D

    That place east of Waco....
    seeker_two,

SORRY, but you are 100% WRONG. - The TX Secretary of State said, "NO weapons at the polls for anyone, except sworn police officers",
(All of us Election Officers "work for" the SofS & what he says goes..)

NOTE: I'm a Presiding Election Judge in Bexar County & if a person CAUSES TROUBLE at the polls, they will QUICKLY find them self in custody. = The TX Highway Patrol is always close by on Election Day & on "speed dial".
(In the last decade, I've had to call the Troopers TWICE & in both cases "the disruptor" was in handcuffs & on the way to jail within 10 minutes.)

Nonetheless, PLEASE be KIND & POLITE to those of us who work the polls, as we "have a lot on our plate" & don't have time to deal with troublemakers.

    yours, satx

    seeker_two,

Well, in any case I cannot carry my 9mm as my 2 precincts are on secondary school campuses.

What I DO HAVE is a bodyguard, as I've had "trouble" twice with disruptors at the polls. = He is intimidating.
(My "BIG GUY" is 5' 10" & nearly 300# = He was once a offensive lineman for Prairie View A&M & is stout enough to pick up a 4-cylinder/140HP, Chevy-based, marine I/O engine & set it up in my PU bed.)

Also, the ISD police officers routinely come to visit with us most all day. = I have DOUGHNUTS, CINNAMON ROLLS (usually also PIZZA & soft drinks) & GOOD coffee from 0600 until we close up for the night, after doing the paperwork.
(NICE guys/gals are our ISD peace officers.)

And as I said elsewhere, IF I do need them, the TX HP troopers are always nearby & quite willing to take CREEPS/THUGS at the polls away for me. = I have the THP "on speed dial".
(Emotions are often high on Election Day & I try to NOT have people jailed. Instead, my "BIG GUY" escorts them away to be a jackass elsewhere, if possible. = I've had only 2 men locked up in about a decade.)

    yours, satx
