Hi everyone,
I just ordered a TriStar T-100 in 9mm from Bud's today. Overall their price was consistent with everywhere I looked on-line and was cheaper that many. G..Broker had some cheaper until you priced in credit card costs and shipping.

Problem I encountered before and after I order this gun is finding magazines for it. Most posts I found said they either didn't interchange with certain CZ mags and some said they did. But none of the posters stated they had actually fired the guns with the CZ mags in them.

Does anyone have direct experience (not gun guru advice found on the web) with this pistol and what mags work for them?

Sounds like cz mags will work. If so shop gunmagwarehouse.com for cz or mec gar mags.

Thanks for the info. It's what I already found. The CZ 75 compact mags, which is what most of the Web gurus say work only carry 14 rounds but the factory mags are 15 rounds. Not sure I'm ready to buy and hope.

Thanks for the offers to let me try your magazines. I sent an e-mail to Tristar to ask them what gives on magazine availability and interchangeability. I'll have to wait and see if they reply. In the mean time, I'm looking at magazines for the "newest baby eagle" from Magnum Research. It looks just like a IWI/Tristar C-100. Maybe??? I know way back when I had a S&W 990 that Magnum Research was selling a clone of the Walther 99 (S&W 99s and 990Ls all used the same frame as the Walther) and the Magnum mags fit perfectly.

BTW, what is the October reunion?

I have a TriStar and my CZ75 and B6P mags work in it just fine, and visa-versa. The only CZ clone mags that didn't swap around for me were the Tanfs... (sold that gun). I have the S120, not the T100 but they are both made by Canik... aren't they, and if so they should work fine.

I work in Austin, maybe the price of a $1.00 cheesburger I'll toss my mags in my work pack and we could meet and see if they work for you (joking about the burger, btw). It's always good info for me to see for myself which mags are cross-compatible.

Ah.. OK. I have a compact 75 as well, but sounds like you have one on the way.

I picked up my Tristar C-100, that's right I got the letters mixed up and I didn't order the T-100. I really like this gun. It reminds me of the original CZ-75 I bought at the Rod and Gun club in Germany and brought back in 1986. I can kick my a** for getting rid of that gun. I didn't know 1st gen CZ-75s were designed so the magazine didn't drop free and hung up so they wouldn't be lost on the battle field.

As for spare magazines, the CZ-75 compact magazine I ordered fits perfectly even though it has one less round than the factory. I contacted Tristar and they said they sold spare 15 round magazines, but I needed the serial number. They didn't quote a price. I'm going to be content with 2 factory mags of 15 rounds each and CZ mag of 14 rounds. Should be plenty for range work.
