    No Sh*t, there I was....

In the backyard, tending to the grill. Heard a car pull up, then my wife comes out back and says somebody rang the doorbell and we’re not expecting company.

So, off I go to investigate. Dog is barking in the front room, and not the front door so I head there. Sure enough, there’s a strange car parked out front, but damn if anybody’s at the door.

Outside I go, and figure out there’s a guy coming from my neighbors door step and an older lady at the door across the street.

Now, let me set the scene a little. We live in a little neighborhood in the county with a gate that is posted no soliciting and owners or guests of owners only.

I engaged the guy with a simple question, “Can I help you?,” thinking they’re lost.

Turns out it’s a campaigner. So I strait up asked the guy were they an owner or a guest of an owner, and of course not, but they’re here ‘visiting friends’.

I called his bluff and I said name ‘em. He couldn’t. So I asked him what his lady friend was doing. He gave me the same ‘visiting friends’ line, so I told him to quit lying to me. That particular house, the owners are out of town this weekend.

I advised him of our policy that he had to have read coming thru the gate and whether or not he was allowed in by an owner or tailgated thru.

He hemmed and hawed around that question so I notified him the neighborhood streets are owned by the HOA and are private. If he wasn’t an owner or a guest, I’d have to ask them to leave the neighborhood.

He decided to argue with me, so I called the Sherriff’s non emergency line while he’s in front of me and ask them to trespass the guy and gave a vehicle description and license plate.

Now, without a Deputy here, I knew they couldn’t do that, but this guy and his lady friend jumped in their car and took off.

And there, on the back of the care is a Gina Ortiz Jones sticker and a Veto sticker.

    I kid you not.

Not getting anything for that plate :banghead:

    Bunch of scumbags though.

I think it’s a partial. I didn’t take a pic, just read it off to the dispatcher.

You didn't burn what was on the grill?

Frozen burgers that just got put on.

Not a proper Texas lic. plate.

Should be 7 characters now, if I recall correctly. There’s an alpha-numeric missing, probably after the second letter.

Now your just profiling. I said I was grilling burgers.

I always do that shirtless since a wife-beater isn’t in Vogue now a days.
    Don't hate on the wife-beater!
