Not fancy rats. Dogs and cats carry rabies.

That's nice, that is why I spent 1630 to 1830 getting my GSD his annual rabies injection, heartworm check, and heartworm preventative. Rat's killed 3/4's of the Medieval world. I don't think a dog or cat can even accomplish that if they wanted to.

They weren't hooded or fancy rats. Apples and oranges, my friend. Besides, it wasn't even the rats, but fleas! Hmmm, those couldn't get on a dog or cat, could they?

Haven't heard of a case of Bubonic plague in the U.S.

BTW, You need to shop for a different vet.

Actually there are at least 2-3 cases per year in the United States, in New Mexico. The Bubonic plague still lives on.

No I’m not. Grasshopperglock asked for snake pictures. I’m also staying on topic.
Are you The attention whore nazi?

You have some pretty snakes, I'm not much of a snake guy but I can hold them & not freak out, just not above the bed...lol. A friend of mine had a 11' albino python that he would let crawl through his apartment. In the afternoon it would bask in the front window, up one side & down the other.

I don’t believe that comment was directed at you, but I can see how it would easily appear that way.

Okay, I’ll be that guy. It’s “snake lovers” like y’all who screwed up the Everglades. Maybe you won’t let your “pet” loose in the wild, but enough dumbazzes did that boa’s and pythons infest the place

What purpose does a pet snake serve? I don’t ‘hate’ snakes, and I’m not talking about a wild native snake...I see those around my home plenty and leave all but the rattlers be, only because I have a dog and would rather kill a snake than see my dog lose body parts or die.

And now you have bred too many rats and don’t know what to do with them. Hey, a half filled 5 gallon bucket of water will solve your problem...

    Flame away, brah

Wasn't pet owner releases. Some kind of facility, that got hit by a hurricane, and caused a big enough release at once to start a breeding population.

Yeah, well, glad to hear YOU are perfect. The rest of us will deal with our mistakes in the way we see best. BTW, I don't need advice on how to kill a rat, I don't need wet rats jumping out of 5 gallon buckets, I have a pistol that dispatches them nicely.

What purpose? What purpose do most pets serve? Some people even have snakes as service animals. Most pets are just things you feed and play with.

    What does your dog "doo".
