Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) was forced out of a D.C. restaurant Monday night by protesters denouncing his friendship with Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. An activist group posted a video on Twitter showing Cruz and his wife being chased out of the restaurant by protesters chanting “We believe survivors!” At one point, a man tells Cruz that Beto O’Rourke, the Democrat running against him in November, is “way hotter” than him. Another asks if he will “confirm [his] best friend Brett Kavanaugh?” Cruz then tells the loud crowd “God bless you” and asked them to let his wife through. In a separate clip, a woman claiming to be his constituent asks him how he will vote on Kavanaugh’s confirmation and if he “believes survivors.” Cruz responds, “God bless you, ma’am.” Protesters also gathered outside Cruz’s Austin office earlier Monday to support Christine Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez, who have both accused Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.

Guess I am at a loss...where is the Mgr, owner, someone in charge who is dialing 911 the moment they enter the door, then stand in front and deny entry, tell everyone to get out their cameras and if a protester touches you, file charges when the police arrive, touch me hard and I will punch back harder...

To not fight back is to embolden your enemy.

I would have to say if the management agrees with them why would they call the police.

I am not sure if someone is pestering you at a restaurant would qualify as a 911 call. Might want to just use the local Sheriff or PoPo.

Naw. For me, integrity demands it.
    We all have our limits.

I can only turn the other cheek for so long.

These attacks will become violent by no doing of ours. They are already escalating and the Left will keep pushing us into a corner.

They need a lesson. They have poked the bear for far too long.

Taking the high road is getting old.
Very old, at some point in time you are either forced to stand up or you will get trampled.

A week ago they protested in the streets, yesterday they protested outside the office, today they came inside the office and their leader screamed he knew where I lived, my wife's name, and my children's names.

If you do not stop it at some point they will continue until they are in charge and then they will kill you, history teaches us the outcome.

We have moved into an era of guilty until proven innocent and it's your responsibility to prove your innocents, they have to prove NOTHING, just make a statement that 36 years ago you did something they did not like...

I respect both your positions. I interpret your remarks akin to parenting grown adults.

It’s not my desire to parent others, nor for government to be a nanny/behavioral police.

But, I can see actions like this falling under federal protected classes as creed.

And wouldn’t it be nice to see a place like this shut down because it discriminates based on creed?

We're nearly at the end of the Age of Civility...

....wonder how the protesters will react when the opposing viewpoint supporters start using their tactics......
