Been hearing that there's video of somebody actually handing out cash to these people to make this journey, and that they are roughly timed to arrive shortly before election day. Speculation that this is Soros connected but who knows? If this is a coordinated deal designed to undercut Trump/GOP and put them in a no-win situation for election purposes... man, I don't know... that's really scary.
In any event, this nonsense simply has to stop, period. As noble as it might be, the US can't take in the entirely of the impoverished world. It has to stop.

So far Trump's stated approach is to shut down border and call out army(national emergency).
He probably needs to do that now, all south point of entry for ALL traffic! When Mexico gets to handle all the illegals and the financial loss of moving product to the US (plus the loss of income to El Paso, etc. workers) they will actually get the message and really solve the problem or just let the illegals fend for themselves. Additionally, this crowd is getting paid to walk 1200 or so miles, can't carry enough cash to get there on their own but WON"T get paid to STAY or RETURN. IF Mexico wants to put up tent cities, OK with me. Trump can declare emergency and curfew for the counties (or 20mi inland), bring in the army, border crossers get pic and fingerprint taken - not allowed back in ever - and zip tied hands & back to Mexico. Courts will give him heck but it will work.

The Liberal Asylum Officers are racing for the Border again to coerce them all to claim Asylum again. Brought to you by Citizenship and Immigration Services, the one's that let in the 9/11 terrorists who wanted to learn how to fly, but not to land. Here is the dirty part, the Liberal Asylum Officers want them to claim Asylum at the Border. Because, they are still at the legal fictional part of the Border they get paroled in for the purpose of an Asylum Hearing. This means they get an automatic Immigration Judge Hearing, which most places, especially, under Obama must set a bond. The bond companies only require a 10 percent down with collateral. You never see them again, until they rape kid(s), sell dope, murder someone, or commit a DWI.
Then under Obama, the mandatory government detainer was turned into a "pretty please turn them over for their crime." And if the area said "no" they were out in no time to commit more crimes. The other dirty little secret is most municipalities will give someone claiming to be illegal 1/4th to 1/2 the time they would give a United States Citizen. So, unless, the POTUS changed Obama's executive orders, since I retired, this is how it works.

What I would like to see as a way to build the wall is add a surcharge of 10-15% of ANY MONIES sent of of the U.S. via any type of transfer.
Of course that would also affect the politicians with overseas accounts.
