While Norinco was generally known for putting out average firearms this 1911A1 received great reviews back when it was released in the early 90's. It was considered better than the Colt offering at the time so I purchased it new in box back in 1994. From what I understand the release of this original Norinco 1911A1 version has been out of production for many years.
This Norinco 1911A1 pistol is noted to have been very well made with strong steel in both the slide and frame. Because of that it has been popular with 1911 custom shops like Wilson Combat to use as a starting point for a customized 1911. In addition to the pistol I also have the original manual and the following items.
2 Norinco branded .45 magazines
2 Millett branded .45 magazines
11 Colt branded .45 magazines
3 US Army dual magazine storage pouches with Alice belt clips
2 Bianchi quad magazine storage pouches with belt clips
The pistol is in mint condition as it has had only about 100 rounds fired through it. It can easily pass as new in box as there are no signs of wear and tear on the pistol nor is it dirty or uncleaned as I meticulously clean all my weapons after each use. This pistol is 100% stock with the exception of the grips which are very comfortable Pachmayr Signature Model rubber grips. I also have the original brown hard plastic grips that came with the pistol if you want to have them put back on.
So you may ask, why the low usage over the last 24 years? Shortly after buying this pistol (and a Hi-Power that I got as well) I purchased a Beretta 92FS which immediately became my favorite pistol so everything else fell out of favor in comparison to the Beretta. I purchased extra magazines and some accessories for the 1911 in anticipation of regular use but that never happened so here it is up for sale.
I am offering this entire 1911A1 pistol package for $640.
Proceeds from this sale will go to the "Beretta 92 Elite LTT with LTT Trigger Job" fund so know that your money is going to a good cause.
