So I had this camera for 4 years worked great. Well beyond the warranty. I didn’t mess with it since last November.
Put fresh batteries turns on but none of the arrows, menu, and ok buttons work.

I know enough about electronics so I looked what the problem is. I don’t see any corrosion where the key pad is, the lights that illuminate the keys works. Nothing looks burnt, doesn’t have that burnt smell.
I pulled the circuit board off the main. Nothing weird.
I can press the up and the select bar moves down but jumps back up. I can put a jumper
    Wire and move it some.
Would a firmware update fix it? I’m not sure if I could download the file that i could navigate to be able to tell it to update.

If you have a multimeter or battery checker, check all the batteries individually. Possibly one is bad. Other than that, I got nuthin'.

My Moultrie A-5 gave me some problems last season and I vaguely recall reformatting the memory card on the computer as part of the fix. Whether that was what did it or just reseating the card, I can't say.
Something an electronic tech told me a long time ago has stuck with me... "75% of all electronic failures are mechanical in nature".

I spent 2 hours checking circuit boards with a meter best I could do is get 3 out of the 6 buttons working. All said and done.

I’m going to wait till Black Friday buy a new one
