Why does somebody have to get high in order to "feel good"? That in itself tells me they are miserable. NEWS FLASH... Drugs and or alcohol is not the answer. But, it's your life. I choose not to do weed or synthetic DRUGS to make me feel good. Tells me those who get high are week and stupid.

Here is my take on this topic: I work all day, I come home after work, take a shower and have a cold one. In no way am I intoxicated after one beer. Second example: I come home from work, take a shower and smoke a blunt. I am NOT sober. See the difference? However, if you want to ruin your life, do it away from people who cope and are not so week that they NEED to smoke weed in order to function.

This is too black and white of an example. A lot of other scenarios could explain why a person would come home from work and have a blunt. Not that I do but I have worked with guys who were also hard workers and the years of labor caught up. Civilian or military, I won’t judge someone who feels like taking that edge off a bad joint for example.

Plus, some guys don’t get high easy. Just like some guys don’t get drunk on a few beers.

Thc and cbd do have a place in this world. It’s incredibly illogical to say booze does but weed doesn’t. I’m not advocating for stoners. I’m simply pointing out a very clear perspective that should make it more easy to not judge all pot users as the same breed of animal.

There was a saying that went "If you remember the 60s then you were not really there". I was 16 when Armstrong stepped on to the moon, I remember the decade well, so I was not there. I am a total pot virgin, to the best of my knowledge I have never even passive smoked it, I don't even know what it smells like. As for getting happy a dose of Monty Python usually works for me.

We do have a diverse opinion here when it comes to pot. I haven’t smoked pot for over 20 years but I have smoked more than enough to have a 1st hand opinion. IMO there is a lot of miss information & ignorance when it comes to weed. The only reason I don’t smoke it’s not legal and it’s a condition of my employment. So for me the choice to not smoke was easy but on many levels it’s no different than drinking alcohol and should be legal within the same realms & laws. No, I don’t think you should be high and play with firearms any more than you shouldn’t drink and do the same. As many say to each his own and there is no reason why someone shouldn’t be able to smoke pot legally. The medical benefits are well noted. But as with most subjects I respect everyone’s opinion even if it’s different than mine.

I am the master of myself. If it doesn't effect my life, I can care less what other do. Obviously the war on drugs is a failure. In fact there are stronger drugs today then in my day, so like when they tried to control alcohol, they found legalizing it was a better way to control it then to ban it.

Same could be said about those who drink. Your analogy is off as well. Drinking a beer would be like taking two or 3 hits for a more accurate comparison. I don't know anyone who smokes entire blunts to themselves. Usually that is shared among several people. Moderation is the key. Also there are so many variables it is not an accurate comparison. I drink maybe twice a year. I absolutely get buzzed off a beer.

Now that it's legalized and regulated in some states, alternative methods of delivery have been developed.

You can't depend on smell alone anymore, they have oils, waxes, butter (which means any goods that can be made with butter, oil or wax)... they passed labeling laws along with it in Colorado, so when they make lollipops or gummy bears it's still very clear that they contains THC.

The delay before effects occur have created many ER visits in Colorado... eat a gummy, 15 minutes later they're disappointed it hasn't worked yet- so they take 2-3 more... then in an hour or so they're tripping balls and call 911. More than one suicide has been linked to it.

Everyone has there beliefs and opinions. I respect that a lot.

The facts are facts. MJ is a plant. It grows from the ground naturally. It was ill-legalized and demonized by the powers that were at the time, due to the loss of money they were going to experience when hemp was going to be the new billion dollar industry in the early 1900's.

We have the prescription drug companies killing and addicting people by the droves. Can you imagine the hit they would take if someone can ease their pain by a plant that's not addictive and has no side affects? I wonder how much subsidiaries Hilary was going to get from the pharmaceuticals if she won? Because she was loudly against legalizing it. Folks talk about the "war on drugs" and the cartel. What about the cartel here in america down at your local hospital wearing a white lab coat? They are the ones that need shut down. Not a plant that Mother Nature produces.

And another thing that pisses me off. I can't have a toke on personnel time or on the weekends. But my co-workers can remain on a constant tobacco high. One might say "oh well it doesn't impair judgement". Chit... I've seen some folks get pretty irritable on tobacco withdrawals.

It should be legal. It will be legal. It'll just take time.
