I find the 'it's natural' argument specious.

A cow turd is natural, but I'm not going to light it up...

OK, I prefer 'booze' and enjoy it at home. I never drive after imbibing - I don't want you or me dead...

If you enjoy smoking weed, ok, no problem. Just don't drive when you're high, and especially don't text weed high while driving.

As a cyclist, I have to keep a sharp eye for idiot texters who've caused me to crash, leaving me injured.

Whether they were drunk (I doubt) or (high one weed - I also doubt) just oblivious to the world all around them as there g.d. need to text while driving was their major malfunction and frankly if found doing so ought to be executed on the spot for texting and driving...arrrrrrrggggghjhh!

A cow turd is natural... and we put it in our gardens to help our food grow... that we eat. Yummy

I'm totally with you on driving impaired. Those persons should be flogged.

Distracted driving is a MAJOR issue. It's why I don't ride a motorcycle anymore. Look what the automobile industry has done about it.... Self braking, lane sensing cars that allow texting to be easier. What is the answer?

My wife this past Monday, rather out of the blue if you will, decided to buy a new vehicle.

It comes equipped with 'hey man, you're too close to me' warning alarms or lane change alarm gizmos.

I asked her if we can turn off such devices?

She said she doesn't know, but should soon because she was given an encyclopedic manual with all the particulars...she's reading it and is one of those who can actually read such a thing and get info from it, unlike me..

Are these gizmos beneficial or distracting in their own right?

Beats me, but it's her car.

Me, I have my trusty Tundra pick up with yes, some techno wizardry, but not nearly as much. I'll rarely drive her vehicle and she doesn't drive mine unless she has to rescue me when I break down way out in the country on my bicycle. I'm embarrassed to admit this has happened roughly 5/8 times over the years...

Pot makes you stupid as does alcohol.

It depends heavily on the dosage and each person is different of course.

It is night and day working with my crew in pot legal states versus not. When the availability and quality become higher it really makes a difference.

But it should be legal. I don't think the government should have to protect people from themselves.

How so? What are the issues you experience? Just curious....

We agree 100% it's not the government's job or right to criminalize drug use.
