^ Most important thing to keep in mind: This is, above all, a "TURN OUT", issue.

If Trump's base turns out to vote in 16 days from today, the dim's will not prevail in the House. It's that simple.

    Yes, it's that simple ...

All indications show that there is much more interest by conservatives in this election then in previous elections, and a big part of the credit goes to how the left has been acting since the last election. Plus, I have never seen the likes of a movement of former liberals leaving the democratic party to the right of which we have today in my life. I believe this could be the biggest turnout for the republican party ever.

We are going to vote in the morning.

On a side note, anyone voting for any Libertarians? Bill Flores is my House rep and I’ll be voting for Peter Churchman. I don’t care for Flores and again will be voting against him. Obviously he won’t win but I hope if we vote Libertarian enough some of the GOP will realize they are not conservative enough and that pendulum will swing back towards personal liberty and freedom.

It is funny, the School system demands your power bill this year, to prove you live where you do, but voting without proof of ability to vote? I have only lived in the same place for 10 years. But, suddenly, I have to prove that, but not my ability to vote? Someone must want an illegal turn out.

Your polling place has is a list of registered voters.
You don't need your voter registration card if you're on the list.
You will be asked for your TDL/LTC, etc, to prove you are that registered voter.

Something you have to decide for yourself. I have in the past, but this election, and in 2016, I personally did NOT want to split a vote away from the Republican party ... reality is some of the races are just too damned close to give the dims a chance to get their nose under the tent. YMMV ...

    ETA: add NOT

That's why I vote Republican. It's not a matter of being in favor of all republican views as much as I am totally against the Democratic/ Socialist view. The fear of what their views are scares me, and that I can't accept. In this day and age it's not about searching for candidates whose views I totally agree with, it's more of who has the best chance to defeat what I can't accept.

But it does speed things up if there is a line. The worker I handed mine to this morning thanked me for bringing it as it saved her from looking it up.

The line was about 25 deep at my location.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of Flores either, but I just voted for him. I came to the conclusion several years back that a vote for libertarians is a vote against republicans. Unless I feel the candidate has a real shot of winning, then not only am I throwing away my vote, but I'm giving up a vote to a party I really don't want to see in office. Just my $0.02.

Yeah, that's why I applied for a replacement VRC. It still hasn't shown up. I'll give it a few days and if it doesn't show up, just go without it. I know I'm registered.

To answer the earlier question about how the vote is conducted here in White Settlement. To vote straight Rebuclian, they give you a paper Bingo card with names instead of numbers and a blotter that you put in a box when done in the voter booth. Straight democratic, they have the names printed on toilet paper and you are directed to a Porta Potty to deposit your ballot.

Your poling place must be antiquated, the lady scanned my DL and although I didn't see the screen, I imagine it told her I was a registered voter.
