We've been supplying Mexico with choppers and arms to STOP the Mexico south border invasion for years. Look at the spending bills in congress. Cutting aid to central america doesn't do anything. Only a financial hit for Mexico will have any effect. As for their path, hurricane will probably cut off the Ca. path so most would head for Texas, shorter, faster and more roads.

Oh, it gets better. If the Immigration Judge tells them they have no case, they can appeal to the Bureau of Immigration Appeals in Virginia. The BIA has the option of upholding the Immigration Judge's Opinion, or tell him/her it was a crappy one and remand it back to the Immigration Judge for another decision. However, if the BIA upholds the decision, and they or their family haven't run out of funds, their attorney can file an appeal to the District Court. That is usually dies unless it is something like the Zavydas vs. Davis and that goes to the SCOTUS, and set a precedent regarding detention.

Then say it is all said and done. The alien can then request to be sent to a country no of their citizenship. I had to file a form with the German Consulate on behalf of a Nicaraguan Child Predator, that had already been prosecuted for that crime in that country, and extradited by Interpol to the United States to face the charges here. I guess he thought German kids were attractive too? But, Germany obviously denied the application with prejudice.

My favorite, is "I am afraid of Gangs." Where do you plan to reside on bond, "Los Angeles."

It is all a stupid game that illegal aliens play to get ahead in line.

That depends on what the Order of the Day is. I have gotten my ass chewed over Operation Rio Grande, when I was told to stop catching them because Congress dictated that we merely take a tally of those that returned or got away. Apprehending them stopped being a priority. I would just take the ass chewing and keep apprehending being a Senior Patrol Agent anyway. That is until someone with Oak Leaves and not a rail road track came out and said, "You motherfucker, that is the last goddamn alien you've caught. You will put on your fucking overheads and drive up and down the river road, or I will have your fucking ass."

I could push it with rail road tracks, but oak leaves had no patience for any insubordination.

You would think the Northern Border returns would be just as easy, but they are not. Yes, Canada, takes a lot of landed Immigrants, mostly terrorists, but to send someone to Canada, you just don't shove them over the International Bridge. You have to get ahold of their Consulate, get permission, do third agency checks, and return the said Canadian to the territory in Canada in which they originated.

I am not saying that. I am saying, the United States has agreed to the conditions set by the Canadian Embassy. After 9/11 we had to check any Canadian landed immigrants for terrorist ties. When I had to be Checkpoint Commander during that time period, my guys were standing guard with M-4's. I put an Afghanistan guy in Secondary, when the war broke out. He said, "You just stopped me, because I am from Afghanistan."

I told him flat out, "You're damn right I did."

I crawled up his butt for a good half hour requesting checks for every database, until it was determined some idiot made him a Resident Alien, and I had to cut him.

That is what most people see. But, that is not how the sausage is made. Most people encounter a checkpoint. It is the tip of the Ice burg.

I'll ask it a different way: Does Canada have tighter control of their borders that the US does, and, if so, please describe what they do that we don't that gives them tighter control.
I have crossed into Canada in multiple locations from east to west and have not noticed much difference between the 2 countries. It seems like it would be pretty easy to walk across in the rural areas of the middle of both countries.
