I've got a good jig saw I purchased when I was building the house. Makita (I think) and I couldn't do without it.

I used a hacksaw and a some straight tin snips to cut out the shape. I have some fire starter fluid soaking on some adhesive still clinging to the alloy.

Once I have the 'bracket' cleaned. Ill shape to the fine lines using a file. Then it'll be time to drill some holes. Slight bend to position the plate and the rear fender delete is done.

Annual oil change and state inspection. Evap System was in Not Ready status. I have to reset the CES light every few months, which I just did a week ago. Passed the inspection though.

Today is all about making a bracket to hold the licence plate. The extended fender thing has to go away. You'd think that Honda would smooth their bikes down instead of a using Shrek ears design on the turn signals.

Why they made the extended fender protrusion looking thing is a mystery. All of it could've be tucked and streamlined under the seat section. Not stuck out like a pecker.

It go's away today. I have sheet aluminum that'll do nicely.

Mr. TN, I already made it and it's installed. The cost was zero. I had the sheet alloy already. Total labor time with me dragging around was about two hours. I reused bolts taken off the extended fender. The only part I need to buy is a license plate light. ~$9. Ill get around to getting it before long. That's if I can't find one for free.

    That looks really clean

    And so it begins, lol....

ETA: Do you know of a dyno that's close so that you can tune it after adding those two?
I wouldn't get the tuner if you don't get the exhaust

Wholly shite. That's around $70 cheaper and simple no b.s..

Thank you again. This is most excellent. Freaking exhaust is incredibly expensive. It's the manufacturer that supplies Triumph. So I can see why. With that doohicky and the exhaust I'm set.

I'm going to stir a couple of days because of the price. Come Thursday after a few beers....Ill have the balls to press buy on a $1000 exhaust.

I named the bike 'Jennifer'. So far it's the best I've ever owned. When I went back to the dealer. I sat on every bike in its class. I didn't ask anybody if I could throw a leg over it. I wanted to see wtf after riding the Honda.

Conclusions, I really like my bike. I'd pick the same if I did it again. Now she needs an exhaust.

Y'all please explain the booster plug to me. Do you run that by itself or do you use that with an aftermarket exhaust?

Everything factory dealing with air and fuel are calibrated on your modern bike. When you change the air filter out to a high flow and a better exhaust. The parts are not matched to the factory calibration specs. Fuel controllers by any other name, interface with the stock ECM. It supplies what's known as an altered 'Fuel Map'. Different calibration. Specific to the non factory parts.

A fuel controller on a stock bike won't do anything you need.

OK, I'm catching on. So it makes the proper adjustments automagically? No need for manual adjustments?
