Of course I meant large population centers like Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Corpus, and other such large liberal masses of weirdos as in NYC, San Fran, L.A. Baltimore, Chicago, Detroit, etc.

A city is not a small town. (Though there are probably some small towns in states like Conn./Maryland/New Jersy/ Mass., etc that 'may' have a dominant population of commies, I mean liberals..) though (I hope) unlikely as small towns are generally far, far more Conservative vs. flaky/flaming big cities.

Where they want to dominate and confiscate.

I have often wondered that myself. I've tried asking that question to my sister, but she is reticent to answer.

In the case of guns and the type of guns. The answer she provides is why do you need a gun or an AR-15? I was just back visiting her and my mother and she still, after much debate and back and forth refers to my AR-15's as an automatic weapon.

Because she sees no need or use for them whether personal defense or recreational she feels they ought to be restricted or banned.

My sister has an elitists attitude and likely feels gun owners are bumpkins, backwards and uneducated, hence not enlightened.

My sister is a control freak and has an answer for everything and it's her worldview that matters and the echo chamber she exists within. Your need to own a firearm is secondary to her worldview as to why own a gun in the first place and less guns means less violence and death (although debunked) , regardless of the number of times guns have been use in a DGU. I've shared these cases and she shrugs.

She more or less demonizes guns, but since I carry I asked her if I have a moral obligation to come to someone's aid. She said Yes. However, I told her I might be reluctant to act for fear of prosecution (persecution actually) for wrongful death if I happen to kill someone. I asked her shouldn't I just call the police? Police arrest criminals and investigate crimes. She had no answer. I explained to her these shooting can be over with in 10 minutes or less and although police might be fast (less than 5 minutes), people would likely be seriously injured or bleed out and die. Wouldn't be better to be armed and have a chance to defend yourself? No answer. Back to get guns off the street. Restrict it ban them.

What's your opinion of why people become leftist? Snowflake mentality (pyschologically and physically weak and a lack of understanding about human behavior, personal responsibility (blame someone or society), compassion over rule of law, excuses for bad behavior, blame the tool and not the person, coddle rather than challenge, participation trophy, no losers just all winners, and feelings etc...

What about public education? Listen what kid are being taught in school. Climate change is proven science. History is being deleted or altered. Everybody gets a trophy. Life must be fair. Libs have mostly taken over our public schools and universities and thrown God out. If I had been taught that guns were evil as a child, I would likely still think that way.

The state was gone from red to purple to blue. Conservatives have a tough time on the west side. King Co dominates. The people of Eastern WA are in the same boat as those people in Eastern OR and CO. Yeah I drive a nice ride so someone trying to hack me for it is always in the back of my mind. Almost weekly, I will get an alert of office creepers downtown - folks coming into buildings or hotels and stealing stuff. We are right off the rail line and some of our employees have been accosted

I hear you, that's why we moved north, to get away from all of that. But they keep expanding, keep pushing further out, and you wonder why they moved here if they wanted to change it: don't they see the pattern of California, New York, etc?

Some panhandlers are scammers, not down & out beggars, but yes, scammers.

Hell, recently I was in a Walmart parking lot unloading items into the back of my of P.U. and a woman with a small child in her rather nice car stopped next to me, rolled down her window and started in begging me for money with a short, hard luck story.

Two weeks elapsed, the same woman, child and car did the exact same thing in the same parking lot with the exact same, memorized hard luck story.

I asked her: Don't remember me do you?

Her: Nothing

Me: Hold on while I call the police

Her: She quickly drove away and out of the lot as I watched her scamper.

Beggars can go to hell before I give them money.

That said, those poor bastards trying to sell newspapers at intersections, not begging, but trying to make a meager buck, I sometime give a $20.00 to see their eyes light up.

Makes my day for a little bit......

While gassing up at a station near DT Dallas one day a bum walked up. He said "I'm not going to BS about wanting to eat, I want a cold beer, could you help". I told him let me finish gassing, it was July and HOT. I went in paid for the gas and bought 6-pack and gave it to him. Made some of his day anyway and I enjoyed it. If he had asked for money for food it wouldn't have happened.

Maybe we should have the Purdge

Few time I gave a tallboy to a homeless, if they look down and out enough. They seemed happy.
