1st Gen Colt SAA in 45 Colt black powder from 1876. Ejector housings replaced. Ivory grips.

Got the gun today and very happy. Even the cylinder is serialed to the gun.

Only thing odd is I has 5 clicks vs 4. It has a double click on #4 which I am calling 4/5.

I compared the hammer pull to my 1911 SAA and the 1911 SAA is a lot heavier vs the 1876 pull.

Now I need to get some 45 colt black powder ammo.
That is amazing. Lot of history in that gun. Think of all the people that have held it and every where it has been in 142 years.

    I bought a S & W SD9VE semi-auto 9mm budget gun while working in the yard replacing my Ruger LC9 yard gun.

Primary Arms has them on sale for $279.99 which can probably be beaten somewhere, but it's still, even with tax, not a bad deal. $303.00 out the door.

I don't mind the fairly heavy trigger of this pistol. It's a budget gun and many of it's features are great. Has a reputation for reliability too. Also, this S & W pistol has no manual safety and a round will fire with the mag out. Both for me are good things.

While the little Ruger is smaller/lighter, I just don't like it and it only holds half the rounds S & W does.

Good gun, just sold mine for 300 after 3 years of use and lots of rounds thru it.
    I gave him 5 magazines...
