My personal opinion. It's a sneaky way to get a short barrel capable of a stock.

In this case a bolt action.

I like it for what it represents.

Personally, meh. Neither Remington nor rifle caliber pistols do much for me.

Have you ordered one yet Ben? These seem right up your alley.

I'm still thinking but I doubt I'll get one. I already have 8 bolt action pistols, 3 of which are chambered in .308. I really don't need more.

I do have plans for 3 more builds before I croak but I already have the actions for those.

I missed the part when rifle-caliber pistols became a thing. I remember when the first rifle caliber barrel was introduced for the Thompson Contender, everybody, gun enthusiasts and the law alike, was up in arms over it, because now there was an ultra short barreled rifle. So when and why did those become popular and how did they became thing the ATF doesn't have a fit over it?

I’ve been familiar with IHMSA seems like forever and they all shoot rifle caliber pistols.

Caliber has nothing to do with firearm classification, so why would ATF have an issue with a rifle caliber pistol?

TC also sold a .410 barrel, the BATF did have an issue with this after it was released.
My Father was given one in the 60s.

I'm totally down for one....been planning on something like this as a custom gun for twice the price and less useful of a stock...

Slap a folding adapter from mtd...a pistol brace and it would be a dream. Super useful in heavily wooded areas I hunt, box stand, getting in and out of the truck, pig hunts, you name it, super useful. Not too short for 300 blk...get 90%of the goodie and 100% more maneuverability... whitetail won't stand a chance...

Load up some light weight cast bullets over a pinch of pistol powder for wife or kids (or me) ...I shoot the Lee 312 90 grain swc over a few grains of Tite group out of 300 blk by the hundred...giggle factor is super high on that load. This is going to be a very fun little gun to have

I have had an AR pistol for awhile now. I think when Sig and SB initially found a work around from the ATF is when they started taking off. Brilliant idea really, the new SBA3 brace is awesome. An AR pistol in 9mm or 300blk is icing on the cake. You need one.

Have two already...they are great but won't shoot stuff that doesn't cycle the bolt....autos can be amazing but eventually will malfunction...it's like saying...if you have a semi auto pistol why would you own a revolver...there are a million uses but not all may apply to you. For me a bolt action ticks all the boxes I need one for. I have two AR pistols in 300 blk two bolt actions in 16.5 inch...and one AR with a 16 inch barrel...shoot and cast alot for 300 blk but the bolt actions the most. Fun, accurate, useful...robust...

People use bolt actions all the time over semi auto platform...all of them have their reason.
