The soldier has a screen that flips down from the helmet.
The aiming device on the rifle is a wireless camera.
You point the gun around the corner, without exposing yourself.
Acquire the target on your screen and fire.
It doesn't literally shoot around corners, it allows a soldier to fire around a corner. Like mirrors, but new tech.

Got it. I was wondering how they got the bullet to go around the corner. New fangled technology sometime confuses us old geezers.

I needed to see a picture before I understood.
I thought the bullets were adjusting course.

When my brother bought an Eotech, he was told by the salesman, and passed on to me, the fact that you could shoot around corners with it.

155mm Excalibur’s electronics withstand 15K G’s shot from a howitzer. And this 50-cal round in development:

Everything about that looks fake as shit. From the bullet construction to the way the trajectory corrects.

Kind of reminds me of the terminal phase ‘bang-bang’ 1st gen laser guided bombs.

Tubes do well with GPS kits and digital fire control systems. It’d be interesting to see what’s being used for target acq since the POA is allegedly to the right of the POI. Implies an active or semi-active guidance package able to utilize an external source for the target location.

Is that a fancy way of saying "Kentucky windage"?

I've heard DARPA has been working on those adjusting rounds. Last I heard on it though was the .50 cal is the smallest they can go so far, the round is insanely expensive, and there were still a few bugs being worked out.

One thing I'm looking forward to with age is seeing what DARPA gets to declassify from the early 2000's. I heard drones have been in progress since the 80's.
