    Gilbertc13,

I bought a TLR-1 for that price. At this point, I don't recall where.

    I like it!

Many are willing to pay big bucks for a light and will urge you to do the same. These people pay zero attention to your budget, because they know better..my ass..

I ran into this in own search. If I didn't spend $200/350 for a light I was screwing up.

    Ignore them.

P.S. I forgot to mention, it's mounted on my G19. So, this model works well on it.

There are a few I've been looking at (i.e. Streamlight, Surefire...), but decided to wait for Black Friday. I am interested in the thoughts of others on different types.

(Looking for something to mount on rifles.)

One I’ll check out for sure. How are the paddles to turn on and off?

Wait for the Black Friday sale. 40% off. Should be around $48.
The paddle switches are slightly more difficult to push than I expected, but I can operate it with my trigger finger while maintaining a proper grip on the handgun. A quick push turns it on or push and hold for momentary.

I have an Olight M1X for my AR. This thing shines like a car headlight when you're out in the woods.

I got the off set mount to go with it. Fits on the picatinny rail and positions the light off to the side so as not to interfere with the sights.

Thanks, I'll keep that m1x in mind, that's more the type I'm looking for, something I can use more easily in my hand as well.

Have one of those too. It is a much more concentrated spot light with not as much spill as the PL Mini. It is also quite a bit larger. I don't have a handgun that it will fit on, so I stuck it on the top rail of my Ruger 556 MPR.
I'm more interested for rifle mounted and in hand, so that's up my alley.
