Well if my mail carrier didn't suck I'd be telling y'all how I like the Inline fab case kicker and primer catch.

They used to put packages in the mail box, now they say they do but dump them in the office. The office opens after I'm gone, and closes before I get off....

I cast another 120± 380 bullets. Then I decided to list a couple molds on the cast boolits forum to try to trade for a 6 cavity 380 mold. The 2 cavity just isn't fast enough.

Got my mystery press in the mail today. $3 raffle win. It's an RCBS RS-2.

I got a second box in today as well. A guy on Facebook was complaining what his pro1000 carrier broke. I offered to buy it for parts. I got it in the mail today and it's a complete pro1000 with all parts but the broken carrier.

I think I have enough room for one on the bench. I'm building a new seat bench for my table and have some small 6"-8" scraps of 2x8. I'm thinking of trying to mount each press to a piece of it and then just use big c-clamps to secure each to the bench when I need it.

    Anyone ever do this?

I used to have my presses mounted to a piece of wood but I didn't use clamps. There are holes in my bench so I used big-ass bolts with wingnuts to hold them down. I imagine clamps would work just as well.

I actually like the wingnut idea. Less in the way and less likely I'm gonna smack my knuckles on a big piece of metal

First I cast and coated just over 100 of these
    45dev.jpg

Then I did 23 lbs of these
    1479mm.jpg

I make myself do 100 of those Lyman Devastators a week since they are such a pain to cast. Single cavity mold with that big removable spud for the hollow point.

The bullets in the second picture are a 150 gr 9mm bullet. I purchased an MP six cavity brass mold for that bullet. It took me under two hours to pour 23 lbs of bullets. That's almost 1100 bullets.

I load those over 2.7 gr Ramshot Competition. It makes a nice accurate soft shooting load. I had been trying 2.6 gr but if I limp wristed the grip I'd get a FTExtract. So I'm going to bump it up to 2.7 gr and see how that shoots.

    Inline Fabrication quick change mounts.
    Sounds expensive

Im casting today, too. Good weather for it. I'm building a new kitchen table bench so I fired up the lead pot and between sheets of sand paper and excuses I would go cast a few. Surprisingly I think I'm at about 650-700 380s between today and Friday night. I kinda lost count though.

I just got a message from a guy that's buying that mold from me so I guess I'll stop now. I've got a tumble lube 452-230-tc coming from Midway Tuesday.

For easily swapping presses, its hard to beat this:

    https://ads.midwayusa.com/product/1...RjX1pCyWvo73DSDc3JGtj9vvRGHA6SEBoCfc0QAvD_BwE

Just be sure to use the metal base plates. The wooden ones it comes with get loose after a while. I use them for smaller things that dont see the torque of pulling a press handle!

As for reloading, last night I crushed up, ground and sifted the last 10 black powder pucks I had ready.

Guns have only two enemies: rust and politicians!

Lee has a set that allows this and can be used for other presses as well I am using them on mine.

Seems like I got mine on Amazon and with Prime it was $18.

Loaded up fifty reasonably hot .44 mags. Used the primer seater for the first time in my Forster press. I really, really like that press. Bought a shell holder holder for it to see how it does with an RCBS primer pocket swager. I've got a crap load of 5.56 military brass with staked primers.

Between reaming, trimming, chamfering, and deburring... I've been thinking of just buying prepped brass for 223.

I'm considering doing something similar just without wing nuts so I can clear the bench top when I need to. A friend of mine has an aluminum plate bolted to his bench that he's drilled and tapped for various presses and accessories he uses. I'm not sure I want to go that route but it's an idea also.

My press is bolted to a 14" 2x6 I use two wood working clamps and it doesn't budge. I used a slightly bowed board and when I clamp it down so it flattens it holds really strong.

I started about 7 years ago with a Lee 4 hole turret press. I still use that having removed the control rod; I take each step maybe 100+ rnds then advance to the next step. Powder loads from RSBS powder measure. All my different dies are already in Lee turrets ready to drop in to change.
Anyone else doing it this way?

I do it very similar. But I often leave the round on and rotate the plate through the dies before removing.

I usually size/deprime on a single stage. I'll work through all the cases I have and then if rifle I'll prep them. After that I prime with a Lee hand primer.

Most low volume rifle rounds I will use an off press powder dropper, then seat a bullet with the single stage. Then after all are done I'll go back on the single stage and crimp each one.

Most pistol I load on the 3 station pro1000. First station is flare and powder, second is bullet seat, and third station is factory crimp die.
