I don’t think a dog can hear all the syllables of Berkowitz not to mention my dog’s name is Deuce.

Actually the dog's name was Harvey and it belonged to Sam, David Berkowitz neighbor.
Berkowitz defense was that a demon possessed Harvey and told Berkowitz to kill.

    "Son of Sam".

If I would have said Harvey many might think I was talking about an invisible giant rabbit.

Weapon used was a Charter Arms Bull Dog 44 special IIRC.

I don't listen to my overweight dog when it tells me not to stop for police and head to a buffet instead. Leaving the mall parking lot is hard now with all the shoppers.

Its not the voices inside my head that bother me, its the voices inside YOUR head that bothers me.

Wonder how many potential victims got away because the weapon misfired??

Hey, when you are in NY City and the Sullivan Act essentially disarms everyone except the 'well connected', you take what you can get.

I would dig a RAVEN Pocket Auto out of the trash if I had the misfortune to live there.

I'm sure the city is flooded with 'Saturday Night Specials'. You take what you can find.

Depends upon the locality. If the officer wants to check my gun for being stolen he can help himself. Its his choice to waste the taxpayer's dime. I think the officer would be given the benefit of the doubt if you were to take it to court are file a complaint. Just because you have produced a DL and a Permit doesn't mean you are not wanted somewhere. If the officer returned the pistol to the individual after the check he was compliant with the law.

I've been stopped for speeding in KY and Indiana and both times I told the officer that I was armed and had a CC permit
and both ties he said thank you and that was all that was said about it. I had both hands on the steering wheel and looked directly at the officer. No problem what so ever. Indiana no speeding ticket but KY wrote me a ticket.

    Speeding is your problem.
One cop, two different jurisdictions is another matter.

I am not going to engage in an argument with a law enforcement officer at the spot where I am stopped. Plenty of time to file a complaint later. I have been stopped a few times and haven't received a ticket. If I was speeding and the officer asked why I think I was stopped I say speeding and I own it. They tell me to have a nice day and don't even ask for any ID.

We had a Hyundai 6cyl Tiburon. I was cruising at 95 mph with no traffic on the road. The state trooper waved at me as he passed me....lol

I grew up in Iowa. Moved here as soon as we could. When I was in High School the speed limit in Iowa was "Reasonable and Proper". That's what the signs said as you left the city limits. The officers on duty would determine what the speed should be for the conditions. Teenagers loved it, me included.

I got to drive in WY, circa 1996ish when they had no speed limit. I'd put the cruise control on 87 mph on interstate & slowed down for the many 55 mph construction zones ('cause that's where the law was).
