"I think if I was wanting to continue doing business with a store I would try to talk to the owner rather than give a bad review, if not, then don't return"

    Say what?

What possible motive would the op have to want to continue to do business with this guy considering his recent experience?

Had I a similar experience I'd have zero motivation to ever darken the businesses door step.........
You can take whatever I say however you want, I wasn't suggesting you or him do business with that store. People often get off to the wrong footing with each other, and I can only go by hearsay. Calm down.

The day of the incident was bad enough, but what he posted was simply not accurate and I didn't like that. It also was a case of trying too hard to explain things. It did show his mindset that he thought he was justified in treating customers like that over perceptions. Note everything he said about me was purely subjective and a vague matter of opinion. It's not a specific act such as me trying to steal something from his store, or calling his grandmother names.

I'm sure he's a nice guy and all that. But that's the thing, he was a nice guy until he wasn't. And when he wasn't, he REALLY went overboard.

People can continue to patronize his business, I don't care. I know I won't be. I just hope no one else gets attacked and lied about.

Physics, the whole action and reaction thing.

Why do sellers go through an FFL to ship to another FFL on an online sale? Why not ship direct to buyers FFL? I don't understand the extra step, expense, and paperwork?

Some FFL dealers on the receiving end require the gun be shipped from an FFL dealer.

Even though I am from DFW, I actually have dealt with this FFL before in person.I won an auction for a firearm on GB that this FFL was handling(estate sale). I drove all the way down to Houston to pick it up after work. I was about 5 minutes away(and 5 minutes from them closing for the day) when I called asking if they could stay open for 5 minutes so I could pick up the rifle and avoid having to stay in a hotel. I have an LTC and a C&R FFL so there was no need to wait for a background check. The owner picked up the phone, pissed off as hell, and told me I was SOL. The next morning I show up and he is completely normal. He is under no obligation to stay open past his posted hours but that lack of 'help a brotha out' gives me the impression he is the type of guy to piss on your head while you are drowning

There are two sides to every story but given my personal experience, I could see the owner doing this.

OTOH, Scott with Lone Star Tactical Supply closes his office at 5:00 pm, but says if he’s still there to just come on by.

An old boss of mine used to say, "This would be a great business if it wasn't for those damned customers." I think any retail place is going to have good and bad interactions between staff and customers. Sounds like this owner has a really short fuse. It's hard to see what set him off from the descriptions on either side.

Actually, was thinking it sounded like some form of bipolar disorder (have had to work with a few individuals like this over the years, and have had to witness/deal-with some interesting shit associated with such).
