The girlfriend went to get her tires rotated this nippy morning. One of those it's 'free' to rotate the tires if you bought them there.

A few minutes ago she sends me a message.

Some a$$hole is trying to sell her a new spare tire. Along with saying the rims are rusty.

The rust is surface corrosion from a power sprayer wearing the rim paint down. The spare hasn't been used since I've known the car. The GF is johnny on the spot about keeping her tires up.

Some MF'er is trying to sell her a new spare and apparently FOUR(4) F'ing rims....

Practicing slow speed turning and body posture for higher speed turns. I happened upon this video.

It looks like some clumsy guys messing around. However, that's a 14 foot box they're trying to turn in. If it looks easy. Give it a try. Use a smaller bike if you think it'll help.

When they pull it off. It looks wicked.

Well... The tank had a bad day today. 2005 suburban z71... she’s been a beast up until today.

Went down into the armpit of Houston to pick up a pump for one of the cnc machines. I get there, back in, load up and go to start... click click click. Dead. Jumping it didn’t help. Pushed it through crackhead infested streets for 3 blocks to an advanced auto- replaced the battery- good to go. Turn it on and notification comes up... low tire pressure. Sure enough, I picked up a nail pushing it through crack alley. The guy at autozone let me air up and I limped over to a tire place... fixed it and back on the road in about 45 minutes. 10 minutes into driving- I start smelling coolant. Sure enough- temp starts rising. Had a hole that formed in one of the T’s going to the Heater core. Let it cool off then drove around the corner to the gas station. I taped up the hole and grabbed a couple gallons of water... limped back up to spring where I could safely fix it. On top of that my dash cluster spazzed out and my service airbag warning came on... it’s certainly been an interesting afternoon...

Well damn. Saw this a few days ago and they started to squeak yesterday.

Guess I get to get my hands dirty this evening. Gotta see what it takes to get the rotors off too. Local place can turn them if they have enough meat left.

The metal tab on the brake pads is rubbing the rotor. It's an audible reminder that stuff is phucked.

I'm curious to where a person would get brake pads for a deuce and a half.

What are you seeing that alerted you.
I can't see through the opening.
Brake dust on the wheels is the first sign that the pads need to be replaced. The squeak is the second sign.

The third sign is grinding, metal on metal noise, and pulling one way when you stop. If you didn't catch the first two the third gets expensive. Rotors are $120 each.

Just the dust on the wheels is what you are seeing.

Don't need to be looking in my hole to see the issue.......

Yep, this is my F350 work truck.

The 5 ton (never had a deuce and a half) is long gone. I will be getting a replacement one day though.

I understand squealing brakes, was looking for the visual indication.
Brake dust on my rims was a normal occurrence, lol.
