    But Beto is for everyone!
    Not me.

This letter was a weak response to my question.
A fake apolitical statement that he probably gave to everyone that wrote to him regarding our 2nd amendment just to get them off their back. He tries to act neutral on paper, until they hand him the microphone.

He does say that he would consider banning "high capacity magazines" and "assault weapons".

    What is BETO?

I was born and raised in rural Ohio. I'm a veteran, I gave the Air Force 4 years, Uncle Sam gave me a college education. Over the last 65 years I've lived in 8 different states of my own choosing, including CA, and am now in TX. Moved here from NY. Had a good paying job and a beautiful home but the liberal politics drove us out. CA has nothing over NY wrt liberal stupidity. Never wavered in our conservative thinking.

Was going to be a Liberal for Halloween but couldn't fit my head up my a$$.

Not all transplants from NY or CA are liberal. Not all Republicans are conservative, not all democrats are liberal. One should not be quick to judge and make broad-brush statements because someone moves to TX from a historically liberal state. Once you get outside the urban areas of CA and NY it is difficult to find a person of liberal persuasion.

I kind of wish for something really bad to happen and push us back into the technologies of the 1800's. It will change a lot of libtard thinking when people have to fend for themselves for basic existence. Those that don't won't last long. Modern society is missing that piece of the natural selection process.

Are you in Parker or Tarrant county. Check the law. Parker county restricts use of firearms in platted subdivisions only. At least it was this way 2 years ago. I had a conversation with SO deputy. He checked status of my 2.5 acres, admired my new S&W and left.

I am in Parker very close to the Wise county line. I was told by a deputy even outside city limits I had to have 10 acres. I never pressed the issue because with the cattle and other houses I don't have a safe backdrop unless I dug a really long deep trench to shoot in LOL. Maybe I am in a platted subdivision and don't know it.

'Top of the hill, Kerr County!
I've said this before. In Kerr County there is NO acreage limit in order to shoot. In the city of Kerrville there is NO ordinance against firing a gun (rifle, shotgun, or handgun). A lot of folks on here have thought there was a state law somewhere that limited the amount of acreage, city, county limits, etc. There is no such state law (except that the projectile cannot leave your property and all shooting must be done in a safe manner). People should not formulate the idea that if there are laws restricting firearms other than local, not statewide.

Ever see a horse with blinders on?

That's America now. Exactly the precursor to Hitler. Even here, a lot of folks only care about gun rights. " They weren't coming for me....."

I do believe this country is headed down the toilet with a fast flush. Call me old school, call me a grumpy old man, I am fine with that. Opposing thumbs are what separates us from the animal kingdom, but playing video games builds little character. Real physical work, for an honest dollar does.

Why all the illegal aliens? Maybe because this generation is clueless on how to do anything hands on in the real world. It's sad, but they are literally going to have cars that drive themselves, so they can text and drive.

They couldn't start a fire with a match and gasoline. Excuse me while I vomit.

I was in Dallas this week for work, and I had a discussion with a local regarding the influx of Californians and New Yorkians moving down here. He mentioned that he has a few new neighbors that are from these areas, and they all have "BETO" signs in their front yard...

They say they are with us, but they are bringing their failed liberal beliefs with them.

    I'll call them CARPETBAGGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Danger danger Will Robinson!!
If there was anything better in NY than TX, U-Haul wouldn't have to routinely pay to have empty trucks moved from Texas to New York (to be used for another move to TX).

Politics here are vastly superior to NY.

I had easy access to an excellent range with a modest $50/year membership fee and unlimited use. Here I get to pay $15 per visit, every visit.

Late to the discussion. This is way too far (for you). BUT, as a member, a good club. Arlington Sportsman Club. Member owned. Property is located in Mansfield, Texas. Membership fee is $75 per year for primary member, $10 for spouse. Yes, a one time orientation fee and 1/2 day meeting to go over club and safety rules. Lots of activities, ranges are rarely full (sometimes during competitions). Pistol, rifle, blackpowder, shotgun, cowboy, archery, fishing. CMP and NRA. Club website gives all the details. https://www.arlingtonsportsman.com/

I frequented my first gun range many years ago in the great state of Ohio (my state of birth). Not that I needed to, plenty of open country to shoot guns but shotguns ruled the roost. Handguns were very common but bottle neck rifle cartridges were an anomaly.

I have shot at ranges in AZ, CA, CT, FL, OH, NM, NY, WA and now TX. Best ranges for me were in FL and NY.

A guy I work with invited me over to shoot at his home range. I think I will take him up on his offer. My recent experience with a "local" TX range left a lot to be desired. The owners (brothers) are nice guys but they had no clue how to set up a range and build shooting benches. Still I was able to get some trigger time and discovered after nearly 3 years by guns held zero and were as accurate and functional as the day I last put them away in their cases.

Heavy sigh .... Still looking for a good shooting range in TX.

There's a place in Venus/maypearl that's out in the middle of nowhere. No range officers, no one to bug ya. 33yd pistol range, 100yd and beyond rifle range. If ya got a scope that can see beyond 800 yds I think you may be able to go to do that there. No qualifications to do. $10 a visit. Or $75 a year
