I'm wandering off into long range pistol & rifle shooting. My goal is to hit a 18" square target consistently at 1000 yards. Seems like any serious shooter is using a ballistic calculator on their phones. Done a little research and there are dozens of them, some free and others that cost some money. Any recommendations? Must be Android friendly because I ain't gonna buy a new phone just for this. Obviously free would be a plus but wouldn’t mind spending a couple of bucks for something that works well.

    I use Strelok and BallisticARC.

BallisticARC has some great features like being able to enter different target distances for quick reference or use satellite imagery to ballpark distances, if you are hunting and need to know how far from your blind a tree line is for instance.

With Strelok you can pull up what the target should look like in your reticle which doesn't sound useful but it's fun to use. It's also a little easier to set up and use which is why I use it most often.

I use applied ballistics be it on the phone or the kestrel. I like it a lot. If you are running the hornady bullets the new hornady app is supposed to be pretty good.
