 Sorry if I pissed in your Cheerios.

I like trying new things out. Tried the most popular aftermarket upgrade for Glocks and found I actually liked it stock better. Oh well... Thanks for the advice on leaving the firing pin spring stock.

Not pissed off at all. IMO you should spend your money however you like. But the Glock isn't a target pistol. It's great for putting rounds COM of bad guy. If you want an amazing trigger for bullseye shooting you might prefer something like a Sig X5.

Never said I wanted or expected it to be a target pistol. Tuning a gun to personal preference for recreational shooting isn't mutually exclusive from it being suited to self defense either. There are some guns designed specifically for self defense and duty use that have great feeling triggers out of the box. The PPQ comes to mind. Guess I should have just spent my money on that instead
...but I didn't. I want to learn about Glocks right now.

I think I understand now what Ghost's connectors are suppose to do... In their words, "The EDGE is smoother, lighter and eliminates the GLOCK pre-travel bump. This bump or glitch is the first resistance you feel when the trigger bar bumps into the connector causing you to move the pistol offline, affecting your first shot accuracy."

It is lighter, so they are accurate on that claim. Smoother? Eh... I can't really discern a difference in smoothness. The thing I really wasn't understanding was the "bump" they were claiming to eliminate. The factory trigger has some take up before it engages the ramp on the connector. When it hits the ramp is what they are referring to as "bump". They lessen the "bump" and make the pull lighter by moving the initial contact forward and having a more gradual longer slope to the ramp.

For their claim of it improving first shot accuracy, I think that's really going to depend on what you're used to. If you like a double action revolver, I think you would much prefer the Ghost connector to the factory one. The factory connector feels a bit like a two stage trigger which I don't mind at all. If anything I think I'd want an even steeper ramp on the connector to speed the break; weight be damned.

This video does a really great job explaining it:

That description is exactly right. With the Ghost Edge, the most noteworthy difference is that it significantly reduces or almost entirely eliminates what I like to call the "hitch" in Glock trigger pulls.

The "hitch" feels almost like a "pre ignition push", aka anticipating recoil. You're pulling right to the breaking point, and once you step past it, it feels like the trigger just jumps backwards. With the Edge connector, it's a much smoother break due to the geometry of how the trigger bar rides the connector and the angle at which it breaks.

I've experimented a fair amount with Glock trigger modifications. To date, the Edge has been my favorite connector. On my gen 1-3 Glocks, I've pretty consistently measured a 1-1.5# weight reduction. I don't even care about that as much as how it smooths out the break.

In addition to that, I've been quite impressed by the Overwatch Precision DAT flat face trigger. Combined with the Ghost Edge, the pull is quite nice. Maybe 80% of the pretravel is eliminated, and it's quite easy to pull smoothly through the break.

I have a ghost rocket in my 19. It’s one that many people shy away from because it’s not a drop in and requires fitting. Nothing tough I did it in 15 minutes or so. This one has an overtravel stop/adjustment. It gets rid of the Glock bump, and stops the trigger right after the break. I should add I have a Zev Tech Fulcrum Trigger installed

Does it reduce the overall length of pull, or by pretravel you mean it starts engaging sooner but the overall travel is about the same?

I’ll advocate for apex precision triggers. The Zev I have is great however it’s normally 200 bucks. I got it for half that on Black Friday.

Disclaimer: I only have experience with factory glock triggers AND my carry G19.

My carry pistol has the .25 cent trigger job (safety plunger and firing pin) and a Suarez flat face trigger with a Suarez NP3 coated trigger bar and connector. It’s smooooooooth. It makes a factory trigger seen like rough garbage.

I'm familiar Apex's M&P trigger kits, but didn't even think to look what they offer for Glocks... Looks like their kits are replacing the trigger bar and connector together. That makes sense to me as it seems necessary to alter the trigger bar and connector together to change the trigger pull in a significant way.

I believe their first offerings were for Glocks. You can buy just the trigger shoe or the whole kit which is the bar, connector, trigger shoe, housing and I believe a re contoured safety plunger.

Changing a connector can fine tune a trigger pull. If you want a complete overhaul and a totally different feel then you want a whole kit
