I shoot .431 cast bullets also because they woke better in my Marlin 1894. I use the standard Lee die. If you’ve already readjusted your bell mouth it has probably fixed your issue.

I size my cast .44 bullets to .431. Using a Lyman M die I have no problems scraping the coating off.

The majority of my 44 mag brass is Starline, and they are always my first choice for pistol brass. I would not worry, it's good stuff.
