Around this time, you have to listen carefully. Women will undoubtedly state what they want to receive. DON’T GET HER A VACUUM, unless it’s a Roomba.

Been married a long time and we're not lacking anything. Christmas is more about family and being together at this point in our life so we no longer buy each other gifts. Kids are grown and we still buy them something but not expensive. Now we just spend all our money on grandchildren.

My wife wanted a recliner so we went and bought her one. She picked it out so I know it is perfect.

My surprise gifts to her are as bad as hers are to me. Now we just pick out our own gifts. Much less useless clutter that way.

Yeah, my GF has been informed not to buy me anything expensive unless I specify it.
She would never be able to get what I would buy myself.

Mine is getting a really nice digital phot frame. My wife loves pictures of our kids and while I’ve bought her things like cameras and really nice printers in the past, I think this one is going to win this year. snip.

Just pulled the pin on Amazon for their most recommended digital photo frame. Delivery on the 19th, gift wrapped.

Can't thank you enough for the timely post ... would have never thought of that ... make me look like a hero with that one, Bubba! ;)

ETA: And thanks to the OP for the thread!

My wife recently retired and we remodeled the back porch. She now has a hobby area; heat, air, carpet, the "whole 9 yards". I am going to put wireless TV "extenders" on the large screen bedroom TV so she can have a small TV next to her hobby area and on her dressing table. That should keep her happy for about a year.

I made a deal with Mrs as soon as we started dating:

If she doesn’t give me a very good list, she gets something from my list.

She learned quickly. She has no interest in tools or hunting gear.

This year, she’s got a good list again. Goodies for her sewing hobby, new headlights for her truck, and some other neat stuff.

So, one of the gifts I bought for the GF came from this thread, not the most expensive thing she got, but probably the most enjoyed.
It was the digital photo frame.
The one I got allows pictures to be added by anyone that has the app, and been given permission.
We have been having pictures added by the girls ever since they left yesterday.

Got a link to that one?

This is the one, but I bought it through Amazon, couldn't add a functional link to it though.
It can be passed around like a laptop as well.
The oldest daughter has requested one now, she has been adding memes and videos all day, lol.

Got my wife a couple pair of leggings for something to open yesterday and then bought a couple's massage off Groupon for later. Going to buy my gifts from her later tonight and then she just gives me the money. The romance is alive after 15yrs together.
